Chapter 102: <Chapter 101>
Her eyes looked deeper and her face was more visible as the shorter hair framed her face. Silje’s neck also looked longer. She thought she would look more boyish with short hair, but it only made her look more delicate. Somehow, she looked more feminine.
The hairdresser said to her, “Wow, it looks better than I expected. You should’ve done this a long time ago! Shorter hair suits you.”
The lady then smiled and added, “I swear, you look better with shorter hair. You look more modern.”
Another hairdresser, who was working nearby, nodded as well with a smile.
Silje looked at herself in the mirror silently. After cleaning up, she was guided to a sink for a wash. During the shampooing, Silje heard a few girls chatting loudly next to her while getting their nails done.
“So when did you arrive in New York?”
“Last night at JFK. It was such a long flight.”
“And you sat in first class? What happened there?”
“There was a super hot passenger. You have no idea how gorgeous he was! Dark hair and amazing green eyes. I could barely breathe while watching him.”
“Oh! So did you get to talk to him? Did he get off in New York too?”
“No…”
The woman replied disappointedly.
“I was trying to find a chance to talk to him, but he got onto another plane afterward. It was bound for Europe.”
“Europe? So he isn’t in New York?”
“No. I tried to talk to him after we got off, but he just walked away. I think he was flying to Copenhagen. If I just got a chance, I would’ve seduced him. I’ve never seen such a good-looking guy before.”
“Too bad… Must’ve been a super hottie.”
“Totally. It was really strange though. He stood in the middle of the New York airport with a glare as if he was angry at the city. He seemed hesitant, as if he couldn’t decide if he wanted to stay in New York or leave. After a long time, he just left angrily.”
“Maybe he was a criminal and wasn’t allowed in New York…”
“No way! He was in first class and there was something amazing about him. You should’ve seen him!”
“Fine, fine. So now I know there is a beautiful man in Copenhagen. Haha, so stop. If your fiancé heard you, he would be mad.”
“Yeah, I thought about going after that guy, but I remembered that I had a fiancé. Hahaha!”
Silje closed her eyes silently.
She didn’t want to hear their conversation, but it was too late.
Dark hair and green eyes…
Silje tried to remember his face, but it was erased from her mind and only a faint memory of him remained.
Still, it was too early to feel relieved. She wished that he was gone completely from her mind, but there were still times when the thought of him stabbed her heart.
“I wonder why that guy glared at the New York airport so furiously.”
Her words bothered Silje, but she shook her head.
This wasn’t Oslo, Norway. The girl said he went to Copenhagen.
Silje was safe.
As her hair was being dried, Silje thought to herself.
‘I don’t know anyone in Copenhagen.’
“Silje Kim!”
“You’re Silje Kim, right?”
After she got a new hairstyle, Silje began to be more recognized. Of course, her hair didn’t suddenly make her famous, but it helped.
“I saw your photos in a fashion magazine. I also googled you on the internet. You are very popular among the fashion bloggers.”
On her way back to her apartment after a fashion show, a fan stopped her and asked for a picture. When she returned home, she searched her own name and found that there were many photos of her online. Many online bloggers also wrote various articles about her.
[Silje Kim can be seen frequently now in many fashion shows. She cut her hair recently and it suits her very well. She began to be noticed more with the new hair and her fame is increasing fast. She also has a great fashion sense. She enjoys wearing simple but vintage outfits…]
[Silje Kim has one of the best walks among the New York models. She was photographed by Joel Hurst recently. Her photoshoots are great, but she shines the most on the runway. She was first noticed at the Sherian collection and there is a rumor that she is one of Christian Lozetti’s favorites. I hope we get to see her in Paris and Milan too.]
Silje’s personal style was well-liked by the public. She preferred to shop at the vintage stores and Silje enjoyed the unbalanced and mismatched look.
One time, after a fashion show, Silje was photographed in her regular clothes and her picture was put on various fashion magazines including Elle, Vogue, and Bazaar. Ever since then, she was frequently asked for autographs by her fans on the street.
As her fame grew, she got the chance to go to Paris and Milan.
Klare smiled brightly as he said to her at the office, “It’s time, Silje. You need to go to Milan.”
And she did. She went to the auditions in Milan.
As soon as she arrived at the airport, the fashion week agency director drove her to her hotel. That week, Silje went to audition for brands like Hermes, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Roberto Cavalli.
At the runways for Dsquared2 and Sonia Rykiel, her true potential came out.
3 – 2 – 1….
With the countdown, the bright lights focused on the runway.
Glamorous models walked out with deer horns on their heads. They only wore bras on top and skin-tight skinny jeans.
The runway was decorated with colorful flowers and with the fast-paced music, the models walked out seductively. The show reminded people of the Greek myth and the models resembled the Goddess of the Hunt Diana.
Silje wore a similar outfit, baring her top. She was usually very quiet, but on the runway, a different and bolder side of her came out. She looked sexy as she walked confidently.
A model only had a few seconds on the runway, and she had to make an impression during that short period of time.
Today, Silje was successful. Her walk captured the audience’s interest and with everyone’s attention, Silje blossomed. She felt addicted to the attention she received.
On the stage, she could be anyone including a princess, a queen, and an artist. Silje was able to experience different roles on the runway, and she loved it.
The loud music, the applause, the gasps from the audience… Her heart beat fast and Silje was swept away by the glamorous life of a fashion model.
She walked like her life depended on it.
