Chapter 50 – I Don’t Know Him
Little Miss Li Juan dashed between the canteen and the teaching building boarding a yellow car.
In the car basket, several meal boxes were stacked together, heavy with freshly cooked dishes.
Boiled fish, stir-fried lotus root, stewed beef with potatoes, curry chicken wings, fried mutton with scallion…
Li Juan estimated the appetite of several people and ordered six plates of stir-fries in one breath, with meat and vegetables, and packed three boxes of rice for fear of starving her idol.
In fact, the chef in the canteen was not very good at his craft, but he was very willing to put spices such as oil, salt, chilli, sugar and monosodium glutamate.
When Su Jishi opened her lunch box, she took a deep breath and remembered the sufferings she had endured these past days, therefore was moved to say, “What calorie paradise have I come to?!”
Calories were not her natural enemies, but her ancestors!
In particular, the boiled fish she mentioned to eat was the most famous dish in the university’s canteen. The vegetable soup was densely covered with a layer of finely chopped chilli noodles. The thin slices of fish were white in color, its fresh and spicy smell was the most domineering.
As soon as the lid was opened, the mouth-watering smell rushed out and spread quickly.
While eating salad, Zhou Jing’s chopsticks suddenly halted as she lost her appetite. Just now, she also felt that the salad prepared by her assistant was although rich in nutrition, color and taste, was tasteless compared to the boiled fish on Su Jin’s table!
What kind of lunch is she holding in her hand? It is obviously a plate of grass! She ate more grass than a rabbit does!
What is going on in with Su Jin?
Clearly, she had put on several kilos. How could she not avoid losing weight? Meat, oil and rice.
Doesn’t she have any self-knowledge of female stars?
She turned her head and wanted to give Su Jin a bad look, but she didn’t that when she craned her neck to look at her, Su Jin was currently picking up a few slices of scallion and fried mutton with her chopsticks… Oh, good spirit.
The side of Fang Jie could not see any more. He coaxed and advised Su Jishi.
“Sister Su, this heavy oil and salt, you don’t want to take a bite of this. How long will you run on the treadmill tonight?” He poured a cup of water and put it in front of her.
“Can you rinse the mutton with water before you eat it?”
Su Jishi’s eyes lit up. “Alright. Soup mutton will not be so bad.”
Fang Xie: “…”
Ashan picked up a curry chicken wing and sent it to his bowl. “Don’t be angry, Fang Xie, just eat some chicken.”
It’s not yet time for the afternoon shoot.
Su Jishi rubbed her slightly swollen belly, a face of satisfaction on her face while she rested on a chair. Fang Xie, who was looking decadent, was holding a mobile phone and calculating how many calories she had taken in this meal.
Su Jishi urged him to take it easy. “Losing weight always requires relaxation. You see, other people don’t eat vegetarian food every day to lose weight. They sometimes have ‘cheat meals’.”
“That was not a sometime cheat meal! It’s a week’s worth of calories!”
Su Jishi discovered that her agent had an innate skill in sounding hilarious.
As they were talking, a staff member in a ponytail came in a hurry. She ran to Su Jishi and stood in front of her. She said cautiously, “Miss Su… There is a gentleman outside who says he’s a friend of yours and wants to visit.”
“Friends visiting?” Su Jishi and Fang Xie looked at each other, Fang Xie shook his head gently, indicating his disapproval. Su Jishi asked, “Who is this gentleman?”
Ponytail: “Said, it’s Mu.”
She was in charge of odd jobs. Today’s job was to guard the gate of the teaching building and block the students who try to break in. Just now, an elderly gentleman and a graceful young man walked through the crowd and came to her.
They handed out their business cards and said they wanted to visit the actress.
In addition to doing one’s job well, one must have “good eyesight” when working in the production team.
In the entertainment circle, there are many bosses with prominent status but has a low profile. The gentleman who handed her the business card was in a straight suit, looked cold and expensive. He just stood there quietly, which made people around him intimidated.
If other people said they wanted to see the heroine of the play, ponytail would indeed forbid it. But Mr. Mu said he knew Su Jin, and ponytail immediately believed it and rushed to report it.
“Mu?” A figure immediately appeared in her mind. His contract with her had long expired. Before when Su Jin made movies, he never once came to visit the set. Why was he here today?
Without thinking, she immediately drew a clear line. “I don’t know him.”
