Chapter 78: 076 kicked Zhong Zhiwan into the water
The girl was taken aback, “Throw it into the lake?”
Zhong Zhiwan made light of it, “If I throw it into the trash can, it might even crawl out on its own.”
“Isn’t that too cruel?” The girl hesitated, “Couldn’t we just return the pig to class 19 or take it to the head of moral education?”
“You think the students of class 19 will abide by the school rules?” Zhong Zhiwan’s expression grew even more indifferent, “Without a lesson, what will they learn?”
The girl thought there was some truth in those words but still hesitated, “But… ”
Zhong Zhiwan, seeing that she wasn’t taking action and losing patience, simply stepped forward and picked up the Teacup Pig that was crawling on the ground.
Suddenly airborne, Dudu became panicked, its four little hooves flailing about, struggling.
Zhong Zhiwan didn’t care about that, she walked to the edge of the lake and threw it in.
The Teacup Pig was so small it barely made a splash, and instantly disappeared without a trace.
Zhong Zhiwan took out a wet wipe to clean her hands, making sure not to carry any filthy scent, before she prepared to leave.
But before she could turn around, a force from behind propelled her into the lake.
With a “plash,” the action was so fast that the accompanying girl didn’t even have time to react.
Two seconds later, she turned back in shock.
She saw the girl standing by the side of Dong Lake, holding the Teacup Pig that Zhong Zhiwan had just thrown in.
The mist cleared from her hazy phoenix eyes, like a lake sealed in ice.
At this moment, the ice “cracked” and shattered.
Cold air shot out in all directions, chilling to the bone.
The girl couldn’t help but shiver.
She even saw a murderous intent in those eyes.
“Help… blub, help!” Zhong Zhiwan was bewildered and even more panicked, “I can’t swim, help me!”
But no one moved.
“Damn, Zhong Zhiwan, aren’t you too cruel?” A lackey running up from behind was breathless with rage, “How is this any different from murder?!”
Isn’t the life of a pet pig also a life?
Zhong Zhiwan couldn’t hear anything anymore, she was in utter panic, nearly at the brink of collapse, “Help me! Help me!”
Finally, the girl came to her senses, somewhat dumbfounded, “Zhiwan, Zhiwan, I can’t swim either.”
“Save me!” Seeking survival, Zhong Zhiwan cried out to the girl for help, “Cousin, save me… ”
However, Ying Zijin didn’t even spare her a glance, her head bent on treating Dudu in her arms.
Zhong Zhiwan kept thrashing, and she was about to sink completely.
Not until she saw Jiang Ran approaching not far away did she reignite hope, “Jiang Ran! Jiang Ran, save me!”
Jiang Ran naturally heard her and looked up at the lake surface.
His expression was detached, lips curled in a mocking smile, cold as ice.
It was like a bucket of cold water poured over her head, and Zhong Zhiwan felt her heart go cold.
Her heart wrenchingly ached, spasming non-stop.
After confirming Dudu was okay, Ying Zijin finally looked up, “Pull her out.”
Two lackeys stepped forward and dragged the floundering Zhong Zhiwan out of the water.
With not the slightest tenderness for a lady, they threw her on the ground.
Zhong Zhiwan’s face was beet red, and she coughed painfully, “Cough cough cough…”
She was soaked through and in a sorry state.
More and more students gathered around Dong Lake, witnessing the scene with astonishment.
The girl finally dared to step forward, helping Zhong Zhiwan up, whispering, “Zhiwan, let me take you to the hospital.”
Zhong Zhiwan gradually caught her breath, her body shivering with cold.
Once again looking at the indifferent Jiang Ran, her discomfort only intensified, and she quickly left with the girl’s support.
“Pah!” The lackey spat, “To think she’s called a goddess, what blindness.”
“Daddy Ying, I’m sorry, you should hit me,” Xiu Yu said guiltily, “It’s my fault for not keeping an eye on Dudu, letting it escape.”
In the past few days, Dudu had already learned to walk.
Sometimes Dudu dashed away so quickly that it disappeared in the blink of an eye.
“It’s not your fault,” Ying Zijin took out a small Pill and fed it to Dudu slowly, “No one expected this.”
The Pill worked fast, and in just over ten seconds, Dudu woke up.
It rubbed its pink little nose against the palm of her hand and made a happy snuffling sound.
Ying Zijin stroked its head, her gaze softening slightly.
“Thank goodness Daddy Ying arrived in time,” her younger brother said, still frightened, “If it had been a few seconds later, Dudu would have been gone.”
Wait, but he remembered that Daddy Ying was busy at that time, wasn’t he?
How did he suddenly decide to go to Dong Lake?
As if he knew this would happen.
The younger brother scratched his head, but didn’t think too much about it.
Ying Zijin placed Dudu on her shoulder and casually rolled up her school uniform sleeve, “You guys go back, I’m going to visit the counseling room.”

Further up the road.
“Zhiwan, you shouldn’t have provoked Ying Zijin,” the girl said in fear, “Have you forgotten how she threw Ying Feifei into the trash can?”
Zhong Zhiwan pursed her lips, her hands shaking with anger.
How could she have known that someone would see?
And she hadn’t expected Ying Zijin to be so ruthless even toward her.
If word got out, wasn’t Ying Zijin afraid of being labeled malicious?
And there was Jiang Ran.
Zhong Zhiwan’s eyes reddened.
When they left the school gate, they happened to meet He Xun, who was returning from outside.
He Xun frowned, “What happened to you?”
“Teacher He, I’m fine,” Zhong Zhiwan said with a forced smile, “I just need to go to the hospital.”
“Teacher He, you don’t understand, ever since Ying Zijin left the Elite Class, she’s really gotten worse,” the girl was angry, “She just kicked Zhiwan into Dong Lake.”
He Xun’s expression changed instantly.
Dong Lake was deep, and there had been past instances of drowning, so the school took it very seriously.
This was nearly an attempt at murder.
“You go to the hospital first,” He Xun called a taxi for Zhong Zhiwan, “I’ll talk to the principal about this matter.”
“I don’t want to trouble Teacher He,” Zhong Zhiwan said with her head down, “After all, she and I are cousins, and if she has a temper, I should put up with it.”
He Xun frowned even more tightly, liking Ying Zijin even less.
He said in a calm tone, “It’s no trouble.”
Zhong Zhiwan coughed a few times, “Then thank you, Teacher He.”

At this time, Old Master Zhong was surfing on Weibo, chatting with netizens.
Upon hearing the door, he looked up.
Seeing the tear-stained face of Zhong Zhiwan, Old Master Zhong was startled, “What happened, why is Wanwan crying?”
Zhong Zhiwan bit her lip and did not reply, her eyes misty with unshed tears, looking pitiful.
“Elder Zhong, that foster daughter of the Ying Family, do you know what she did?” Lady Zhong started speaking with suppressed anger, “Just for a pet, she kicked Wanwan into the lake.”
“Wanwan can’t swim, and it’s still cool in March. What if something had happened to her?”
She really hadn’t expected that a foster daughter would have such audacity.
Zhong Zhiwan was her carefully cultivated lady; she had never been subjected to such treatment before.
Lady Zhong spoke again, her voice cold, “Elder Zhong, I cannot just let this go.”
Zhong Zhiwan was Old Master Zhong’s biological granddaughter, and even the real young lady of the Ying Family did not receive as much affection in the Zhong Family as Zhong Zhiwan did.
Even if Elder Zhong was muddled, he surely still knew who bore the Zhong surname, right?
