Chapter 105: 103 Boss Ying Is Not a Top Student, But an Academic Expert [3 Updates]
There was a long pause on the other end before a hesitant voice finally spoke up, “Brother, there’s been an accident.”
“Hmm.” Fu Yunshen’s voice was indifferent. “Go on.”
Those four calm words seemed to double the pressure on the other end.
“Brother…” The person on the other end, using an old-school cell phone, fell silent for quite a while, “The medicinal materials posted on the Bounty List by NOK have all been secured, and the guys were just about to ship them to you, but—” He paused, then said with difficulty, “At customs, our medicinal materials were hijacked.”
Upon hearing this, Fu Yunshen’s eyelashes fluttered slightly, his voice even, “I know.”
The other end paused in surprise, “Brother, you’re not surprised?”
“Not surprised.” Fu Yunshen inserted the car key and turned the steering wheel with one hand, “It seems you’ve forgotten whose account was used to post the bounty.”
Silence fell abruptly on the other end: “…”
Indeed, registering an NOK account was a breeze, requiring only a login program.
The hidden section was a place where big shots abounded, often surfacing to chime in on the discussions.
But if you wanted these big shots to take on a bounty, the account ID mattered.
Ordinary IDs were ignored by the big shots.
Even though the NOK forum encrypted the identity of every user, their IDs remained unchanged after all.
Especially Fu Yunshen’s account ID, which was currently still listed on the Bounty List.
A one billion US Dollar bounty attracted many hunters.
But the Bounty List also demonstrated the strength of the bounty targets; the higher the ranking, the stronger the target.
Many hunters were also listed on the Bounty List.
The most mysterious number one on the Bounty List had a solitary code name—Diviner.
The account IDs of bounty targets were highlighted in red on the NOK forum, standing out at first glance.
The hijacking of the medicinal materials proved that another hunter had made a move.
“Brother, you should have said so earlier.” There was finally a voice from the other end again, annoyed, “We should have used a different account.”
“No need.” Fu Yunshen chuckled lightly, “Changing the account doesn’t guarantee that anyone will take the bounty.”
Deep-sea and desert missions were only taken by hunters ranked within the top twenty on various bounty lists.
When they accepted bounties, apart from the money, they also considered whether it could bring them any benefits.
An ordinary ID’s bounty, no matter how much money was offered, simply couldn’t attract them.
“That’s true.” There was silence again on the other end, “Brother, don’t worry, the guys have already tracked down the other party and ensure to deliver the medicinal materials safely to Hua Country.”
In fact, even they didn’t know exactly where Fu Yunshen was.
Every time they delivered goods, it was always to the customs closest to O continent in Hua Country.
“No need, just keep a close watch,” Fu Yunshen’s fingers tapped on the steering wheel, “I’ll go personally.”

Inside the study.
Fu Mingcheng still sat in his chair, his brows deeply furrowed.
After a knock, Madam Fu pushed open the door, “Mingcheng, I’ve just cut some fresh fruit. Have some.”
Fu Mingcheng looked up, his focus wasn’t on the fruit plate though, “Has he left?”
“He has.” Madam Fu paused for a moment, her maternal affection for Fu Yunshen gone in front of outsiders, her expression cold, “After Old Master Fu went to bed, he left.”
“Old Master Fu is really too muddle-headed!” Fu Mingcheng slammed a stack of papers down hard, “Yichen and the others might not understand, but how could Old Master Fu not understand himself? To think he’s actually willing to give away the Imperial Fragrance House?”
Imperial Fragrance House was Fu Corporation’s flagship industry and among the top ten perfume brands in Hua Country.
Although it couldn’t yet compare with foreign luxury brands, it had already entered the top fifty enterprises in the country.
If Imperial Fragrance House were given away just like that, it would mean Fu Corporation was losing half its empire.
A wastrel, incompetent in all aspects, why should he take over Imperial Fragrance House?
By doing this, Old Master Fu was blatantly ignoring the wishes of the rest of his descendants.
“Alright, stop getting angry, Mingcheng,” Madam Fu soothed his shoulders, her voice softening, “He didn’t end up taking it, right? Old Master Fu is still around and will consider the whole company in the end. He won’t be so rash.”
“He won’t.” The sarcasm in Fu Mingcheng’s words was heavy, “As soon as it comes to his business, Old Master Fu becomes blind to everything else.”
Madam Fu sighed, “Old Master Fu acts out of guilt.”
“Twenty years of atonement is more than enough,” Fu Mingcheng snorted coldly, “I really don’t understand what goes through Old Master Fu’s mind all day.”
“Mingcheng, speaking of which, I find Old Master Fu’s recent behavior quite unusual,” Madam Fu frowned, “Three years ago, the doctor had already issued a critical illness notice, but Old Master Fu’s health seems to have actually improved.”
Fu Mingcheng didn’t dwell too much on it, but his anger intensified, “Who do you think Old Master Fu is hanging on for? If not for him, Fu Yunshen?”
He paused, then softened his tone, “However, Old Master Fu’s body has been depleted for too long and can’t hold on much longer. We need to shift his focus onto Yihan while he is still alive.”
Madam Fu nodded and then left the study.

The following day, at noon.
Ying Zijin’s eyes narrowed slightly when she saw the message from Fu Yunshen on WeChat.
Ever since she became familiar with the naive kids from Class 19, he had been asking her out for lunch less and less frequently.
It seemed that as long as she had company, he was reassured.
Xiu Yu applied eyeshadow while asking, “Daddy Ying, are you going to the cafeteria today?”
“No,” Ying Zijin replied, holding her phone, and stood up. “I’ve made plans, I’m going out to eat.”
Xiu Yu nodded without asking further.
Ying Zijin walked out of the classroom.
Three minutes later, she exited the school gate.
This time, Fu Yunshen hadn’t driven, but leaned against a tree waiting for her.
The sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting faint golden hues on his deep and captivating eyes and brows, making him all the more handsome.
As if a deity had been left behind in the mortal world.
When he heard footsteps, Fu Yunshen straightened up.
He turned around, looking at the girl with a smile, “Yaoyao, I saw on your school’s bulletin board that a celebrity is coming to give a lecture.”
“At the end of the month,” Ying Zijin nodded, “I heard it’s a film emperor.”
She didn’t follow the entertainment industry; it was Xiu Yu who fed her the information.
For instance, nowadays most young celebrities rely on their online popularity, but Shang Yaozhi has both looks and talent, a true exception amongst the stars.
“Hmm?” Fu Yunshen’s eyebrows quirked, “Kid, you watch dramas but you don’t chase after celebrities?”
“It’s too tiring,” Ying Zijin pondered and then added, “Plus, I think I prefer good-looking female celebrities.”
Fu Yunshen tilted his head and suddenly laughed, “Female celebrities?”
“No one dislikes pretty girls.”
“…”
That seemed quite reasonable, though the gender seemed off.
“Alright, let’s talk business,” Fu Yunshen paused and smiled, “Something’s come up, and your brother needs to go abroad for about four or five days.”
Ying Zijin looked up.
He bent slightly, his eyes level with hers, “So for these next few days, you’ll need to take good care of yourself. Don’t just eat tomatoes for lunch every day while I’m away.”
Ying Zijin didn’t respond, her brows slightly knotted.
Her abilities hadn’t recovered—not only was the observation time limited, but the distance range was also affected.
She could only see what was happening in Shanghai City.
If it was further away, she would need to go to that place to see it.
And to mention, this time Fu Yunshen was going abroad.
Last time at her doorstep, someone had tried to kill him.
She was rather curious to know just how many people were waiting for him as soon as he stepped out.
“It’s nothing serious,” Fu Yunshen said, as if he had read her thoughts, “I’ll be back soon. But kid, there’s one more thing.”
“Study hard,” he ruffled her hair, “If you pass just one subject in the midterms, I’ll take you to see the live performance of the good-looking female celebrity you like.”
“…”
**
After parting with Fu Yunshen and returning to the classroom, Ying Zijin was still contemplating whether she should study hard or not.
But passing just one exam meant that she only had to take one.
That wasn’t too bad; it wouldn’t be exhausting.
Pass one, watch one live.
Then she would study.
Having made up her mind, Ying Zijin propped her head with one hand and opened her phone with the other.
She found the web drama she was watching that day and clicked into the female protagonist’s Weibo.
“So boring,” Xiu Yu sighed beside her, “Why did I come to this public lecture? I’m usually racing outside.”
This afternoon, there was a public lecture which the entire second year of high school attended.
Logically, Class 19 would never attend, but even Jiang Ran was there.
And the worst part was, this public lecture was given by a strict university professor who wouldn’t allow any fooling around during class.
Xiu Yu couldn’t understand the lecture and wanted to sleep, but all he could do was prop his eyelids open and stare dizzily at the blackboard.
Students from the Elite Class weren’t really listening either—after all, public lectures were just for show. It goes without saying for the other regular classes; many of them had their heads down, playing with their phones.
“You there, student!” A chalk suddenly flew down, “Come up here and solve this problem for me!”
Xiu Yu jolted, realizing that the professor was calling for their Daddy Ying.
In the tiered classroom, all the students looked over.
Lu Fang burst out laughing mockingly, “Teacher, you shouldn’t ask her to solve problems; she probably doesn’t even know what a chemical reaction is.”
With that comment, a wave of laughter followed.
“Hahaha, single-handedly dragging down the Elite Class, and after being in Class 19, I bet her grades got even worse.”
“Teacher, don’t waste time, just keep on lecturing,” someone else chimed in.
Zhong Zhiwan held back a laugh with pursed lips, the amusement in her face unmistakable.
The professor was even angrier, “Not studying well and not paying attention in class, go stand in the back as punishment.”
