Tong Jiumo thought that she could leave after she signed the contract.
However, when she stood up to leave, a deep voice came from behind. “Who allowed you to leave?”
“I have signed the agreement. I naturally am going back now.” Tong Jiumo said as a matter of fact.
“Since the contract is signed, it will take effect immediately. I didn’t allow you to leave, so you can’t leave,” said Mo Qijue in a cold voice.
“I am only responsible for your daily meals. But can’t I have the day off and start work tomorrow?”
‘Why is there such an impatient person?’
“No, the agreement states that I have the final say,” said Mo Qijue in a cold and deep voice. “Make dinner for the Little Master.”
“…” Tong Jiumo ground her teeth and stared at his arrogant face.
“I’ve still got other matters. I need to leave.” Tong Jiumo was worried that Tong Lele would be unsafe as he was alone at home. The last time she had stayed outside and left him alone at home, he had gotten into some trouble.
Mo Qijue stood up abruptly and went forward, going closer to Tong Jiumo.
Tong Jiumo suddenly felt a dark and condescending presence approaching her.
She held her breath and looked up to face him. “W- what you trying to do by coming so close?”
Mo Qijue approached her step by step, and Tong Jiumo retreated backward step by step.
Her body shivered, and her eyes glanced backward to check if there were any obstructions behind her. It was until her back touched the wall that she had nowhere else to retreat.
The bodyguards in the living room saw the situation and backed off.
“Miss Tong.” Mo Qijue reached out, and his slender fingers touched her jaw and lifted it slightly to meet his cold eyes. “If I didn’t ask you to leave, you are not allowed to go anywhere.”
“We are just business partners…” Tong Jiumo thought that the man before her was very strange.
“Make dinner now,” ordered Mo Qijue.
Tong Jiumo’s breathing became rapid. “Alright, I will go. You don’t have to come close to me.” As she said, she pushed him away and ran towards the kitchen.
When Tong Jiumo entered the kitchen, she adjusted her breathing before washing the utensils and ingredients on the kitchen table.
As she looked at the array of ingredients on the table, Tong Jiumo suddenly thought of a question and rushed out of the kitchen. She said to Mo Qijue, “This isn’t right, the position I applied for was the Gourmet’s Association president position, why must I make dinner for you?”
When she had been reading the contract, why hadn’t she thought of that?
Tong Jiumo was so worried that he would play tricks that she didn’t think further.
After Mo Qijue heard her words, he disagreed. “The Gourmet Association’s president’s job is to be my personal chef, is there a problem?”
“…” Tong Jiumo remained silent for a while.
She did not say a word and returned to the kitchen.
Then Tong Jiumo gave a call to Mr. Gordon. However, she was worried that Mo Qijue could hear her, so she decided to send a message to Mr. Gordon instead.
[Master, Gourmet Association’s President = Personal Chef? Master, you owe me an explanation!]
After a while, her phone vibrated.
She took a look at her phone, and it was Mr. Gordon’s reply—
[Yes.]
Tong Jiumo was speechless.
She raised the kitchen knife and chopped the lean meat. She chopped the meat fiercely, venting her anger.
“You will not be able to pay if you break my chopping board.”
Mo Qijue’s cold voice could be heard.
Tong Jiumo trembled upon hearing his voice, and her hand slipped, causing the knife to slice across her other hand, and blood flowed out.
She threw the kitchen knife and winced in pain.
“You are so clumsy! How did you even become a renowned chef? By making use of your looks?” Mo Qijue asked coldly when he saw that she was cut by the knife and immediately rushed forward. He took her hand before letting the cold water from the tap run over her hand.
“Ahh—”
When the water touched her wound, Tong Jiumo cried out in pain.
