Chapter 59: You Passed! (3)
“I have never blamed you.”
Xi Zhao had been watching nervously. When he saw the writing, he immediately recognized it to be Ning Ling’s and that she had forgiven him.
Xi Zhao closed his eyes as the tears continuously cascaded down.
Ye Sui looked at Ning Ling, but Ning ling was focused on Xi Zhao.
The two people’s misunderstanding had been cleared up, and Xi Zhao now looked at Ye Sui in a much better way than before. “Even if you can see my wife, I won’t just give you the role like that. I want to see how your acting is.”
Xi Zhao meant that he was giving her a chance, though he wished to discern her skill.
Ye Sui has not appeared in any movie, and her audition for “Rescue” has not yet started, so Xi Zhao was not clear about her talents.
Xi Zhao opened his mouth, but his voice was slightly deep and grievous. “I want you to play someone who has just lost her beloved son.”
Xi Zhao and Ning Ling had lost their child, and since it was an autobiography, he would definitely put it into the movie. After all, it was the reason for the estrangement between the two.
This part was also one of the most essential segments for Xi Zhao and Ning Ling.
Ye Sui nodded. “Okay.”
Ye Sui never had a child, let alone lost one, but she also had important people. Before she came to this world, she was an orphan with no family or friends.
Now, for her, the most important person was Chen Shu.
If she lost Chen Shu, never to see him again, how would she react?
Ye Sui just thought of this, and her tears began to flow down. Instead of crying aloud, she swallowed her suppressed tears, but it made people feel her despair and sadness.
Just being able to cry with emotion in this part, Ye Sui met Xi Zhao’s harshest requirement.
From the side, when Chen Shu saw Ye Sui shedding tears, his heart suddenly began to ache. He subconsciously wanted to come forward and hold this fragile Ye Sui in his arms.
“All right.” Xi Zhao called to stop at that moment.
Chen Shu didn’t react until then. He had never seen Ye Sui act before, but he knew that she had already done the job just from the emotion that people could feel directly.
Xi Zhao smiled approvingly. “You passed.”
A few days later, Xi Zhao contacted the reporters on his own initiative. Everyone knew that he had to disclose important news.
At 8:00 a.m., all major media and gossip magazines had already swarmed Xi Zhao’s villa. The streets of the west district, which were originally deserted and lonely, were currently jam-packed.
After the door slowly opened and Xi Zhao came out from the inside, all the cameras were aimed at him, and the flashed lit up his face brightly.
“Director Xi, will the actress who plays Ning Ling be publicly selected?”
“Director, when will the shooting start?”
“Director Xi, is there any new development in the movie?”
Xi Zhao faced the camera, looking solemn. He then announced to the national audience: “I have already found a candidate for the heroine.”
What? The reporters present were so shocked that they couldn’t even hold the microphone. They didn’t get wind of any such news. So, how was the heroine selected?
“This actress’s acting is exceptional. What’s more, she knows Ning Ling better than any of her peers in the entertainment circle.”
Xi Zhao glanced at the air beside him, as if he was looking at someone, or perhaps just glancing at them casually.
The next second, he smiled. “I believe Ning Ling will be satisfied with my choice.”
The reporters were holding up their devices for fear of missing a single detail. After a brief pause, Xi Zhao opened his mouth and uttered a surprising name.
“Ye Sui.”
The scene suddenly quieted down for a moment, then broke out with even more fierce questioning, almost drowning him.
Xi Zhao didn’t answer anyone, though. “Even if Ye Sui doesn’t have enough space on her schedule, I will wait for her to finish making other films before the shooting starts.
“Because Ye Sui is the only one who can play Ning Ling well.”
Pei Ning, Chang Ying, and other female stars, as well as netizens who had just scolded Ye Sui a few days ago, all had an idea flash in their minds: their faces have been slapped—no, crushed!
