Chapter 180 Yearning for Death
Mo Kun said with a smile, “Later on, the prince and the princess will live a happy life there. Fairy tales are not all fake!”
Long Xi nodded. If only she could live with Mo Kun, it didn’t matter where they lived!
“Ya… ya…” A crying of crow was heard, which shocked Long Xi badly. She looked over carefully, finding a crow standing on a stone pillar in front of the gate. It stared at them with its bright eyes.
Long Xi was terrified by the gloomy cry! Was it preventing them from entering?
Mo Kun held her hand and said, “Don’t be afraid. You have me here.”
“Em.” Long Xi was gradually reassured.
As soon as they walked in, no imaginary hall was shown in their eyes, but a twisted corridor was revealed in front of them.
They walked along the long corridor without lights, finding a large oil painting at the end. There was a crystal lamp above the painting turned up.
The characters in the painting turned out to be two Qiuzi. One had long hair and was dressed in a kimono. She was sitting on a swing with a smile. The other Qiuzi was pushing the swing. She was angry and had short hair, which was similar to Cheng Yimei’s hairstyle when she received her death sentence and execution. She was dressed in prisoner clothes of Z Country. Perhaps, one of them was Qiuzi, while the other was Cheng Yimei.
Long Xi was really shocked!
“Don’t be afraid. You have me here! I will not allow anyone to hurt you!” Mo Kun said as firmly as before.
“Stay!” The Qiuzi who dressed in prisoner clothes in the painting started to say, which dragged Long Xi’s reassured heart up to her throat again.
She was stunned and then screamed, “Ah!”
Mo Kun heard Long Xi’s screaming and hurried to turn around and hold Long Xi, who was trembling with hands wrapped on her head while she stared at the oil painting. He asked, “Xixi, what happened?”
“That painting… that painting…” Long Xi’s thoughts were in disarray.
“Painting?” Mo Kun looked at the oil painting.
“The Qiuzi in the painting… is speaking!” Long Xi finally found suitable words to express her meaning.
“Ah?” Mo Kun looked at her with confusion and said, “This is just an ordinary oil painting! I don’t see what you’re describing. Were you frightened by an illusion?!”
“No! It was real! I really heard it…”
“Stay here with me…” Before Long Xi finished his words, the voice was raised again, but Mo Kun seemed to hear nothing.
“Listen!” Long Xi hurriedly pulled Mo Kun and shouted, “We… we should get out at once!”
She took Mo Kun’s hand and walked quickly towards the gate.
Long Xi was afraid that ghosts would catch up with them, so she sped up and gradually started to run. When she saw the light in distance becoming brighter, the two were stunned and stopped.
“This…” The two stood in front of the large oil painting and were completely stunned.
They had returned to the oil painting again!
They had simply walked towards the direction of the gate!
“Ah! This is… Brother Kun, we can’t get out!” Long Xi frowned and held Mo Kun’s hand even tighter without noticing.
“Haha, stay with us!” Mo Kun suddenly said with Qiuzi’s voice. Long Xi immediately released Mo Kun’s hand. She became more and more uneasy.
Only Qiuzi’s laughter was heard in the empty building, echoing along the rotating ladder. That laughter was melodious but gloomy.
“You? Who are you?” Long Xi asked Mo Kun, with a trembling voice.
Mo Kun did not answer and immersed himself into the oil painting all of a sudden.
Right after, another person showed up in the oil painting. It was Mo Kun, who was holding a camera to take pictures for the two Qiuzi.
“Ah…” Long Xi ran out crazily. No matter how hard she ran, she would return to the original place.
“Stay with us!” This time, Mo Kun started to say something in the oil painting.
He said with a highly tempting tone to Long Xi, “Stay here. We will live a happy life generation after generation. We won’t die! If you leave, I will stay with them forever!”
Long Xi was hesitant. Staying there to live with him from generation to generation.
“No, this is not real! This is a dream! You should face reality. Long Xi! Long Xi! Wake up!” A light calling voice came out from the bottom of Long Xi’s mind.
When she opened her eyes again, Long Xi thought she was still on the snow covered ground, surrounded by a white background.
Yan Wangchuan, dressed in a white shirt sat by her side with blood red eyes.
When she finally recovered, she found she was in a ward.
White sheets, white walls, and white people!
A smell of disinfectant fluid was spread in the air.
Yan Wangchuan turned around and hoped she didn’t see his tears.
Long Xi suddenly felt ashamed when looking at his shivering back like the leaves in the wind! A person only had one life, so how could she treat it so rashly?
Yan Wangchuan did not blame her and press the bell to call for the doctor. Then, he gave her some water.
She was really thirsty and her lips were a bit chapped!
After she drank water, Yan Wangchuan used a cotton swab to dip some clean water and skillfully apply it to her lips.
She asked blankly, “How long was I in a coma?”
Yan Wangchuan said in a hoarse voice, “Three days! You really frightened me!”
Long Xi was also shocked.
She seemed to have experienced a long dream. It was so sweet that she was unwilling to wake up.
In the end, she still told herself that it was only a dream and she had to face reality!
Two days later, Long Xi was discharged from the hospital.
During those days, Yan Wangchuan had been looking after her all the time. He would accompany her to walk around the yard. He would play chess with her when she was bored. He would give her some sweets after she ate some bitter medicine. Even the water temperature he gave to her was just right. He was really like a “twenty-four hour filial” boyfriend.
Female nurses were envious of Long Xi and said that she had very likely saved the Milky Way in her previous life. That was why she could find such a handsome and considerate boyfriend. Besides, he was a famous musician.
Long Xi finally knew that Yan Wangchuan’s reputation had crossed the borders and reached Japan.
However, why was that related to her?
After being discharged from the hospital, Long Xi went back to her home country at once.
She immediately plunged into work and hoped to dilute her thoughts.
In his spare time, Yan Wangchuan was like a personal plaster sticking to her.
During that period, Long Xi transferred 2 million yuan to Feng Zihao’s account.
She called sister Junyao but the latter seemed not to know Feng Zihao was a member of the Brutal Pranks Gang. She told Long Xi that Feng Zihao suddenly left them without saying goodbye in the process of searching for treasure. A month had just passed by.
Feng Zihao was always like that, so sister Junyao did not look for him.
It seemed that sister Junyao knew less about Feng Zihao than Long Xi. They didn’t even know that Feng Zihao was a master of disguise.
It seemed that Feng Zihao was really a mystery!
Actually, Long Xi had no interest in Feng Zihao. Mo Kun was the only person in her mind!
She spent a lot of money to hire a few famous private detectives to inquire about Mo Kun’s recent situation, as well as Qiuzi’s background and their recent status.
Long Xi felt that Qiuzi had to be related to Cheng Yimei.
What she was worried the most was that Qiuzi might hurt Mo Kun! In fact, Cheng Yimei had been trapped by Mo Kun. Even though Cheng Yimei might not know that, she might have found out some clues, since Mo Kun and Long Xi were always under the supervision of the Brutal Pranks Gang.
Three days later, Long Xi found that Qiuzi and Cheng Yimei were identical twin sisters. Qiuzi was the eldest, a few minutes earlier than Cheng Yimei.
Cheng Yimei’s mother was named Nengzi, who was an actress in Japan. She was extremely beautiful and totally attracted Cheng Gong who had just started his career, and had not joined the Brutal Pranks Gang.
After she got married to Cheng Gong, she gave birth to two daughters. One named Cheng Yifei, the other was Cheng Yimei.
Later, somehow, Nengzi and Cheng Gong were divorced and she took the eldest daughter to Japan, later marrying to a rich businessman.
Cheng Yifei changed her family name for her stepfather’s and changed her first name as Qiuzi, because she was born in the fall.
Long Xi also asked about Mo Kun’s real situation and hoped to know whether his amnesia could get better.
The answer she received was negative.
Mo Kun’s primary care doctor was a professor specialized in such illness. Since he said there was a slim chance to cure him, he would not recover unless there was a miracle!
Long Xi also went to consult with some prominent doctors in that field in China, but the answers were similar.
It was hard to live without Mo Kun!
She could only anesthetize herself with busy work!
When she had any spare time, she would paint.
She hoped to imprint Mo Kun’s image and used paintings to pin her yearning and to cure the wounds in her mind.
She always liked the Chinese painting style, but did not focus on it because she had quite a lot of hobbies. Therefore, she was not good at it.
In general, her freehand paintings were better than meticulous paintings, scenery paintings better than character paintings. Still, at the moment, she used meticulous skills to paint Mo Kun.
Perhaps she had not painted in a long time. She couldn’t use the brush smoothly. After a few times, she could finally find some feel to it.
She tried hard to paint her thoughts in the paintings.
After half a month, she finally drew a painting that she was satisfied with.
In the painting, Mo Kun was leaning against a railing by the corridor in a small view garden, looking at the “lens” with affection in his eyes. That was the way that Mo Kun always looked at her.
When she looked at him in the painting, she could deceive herself and imagine that Mo Kun was still by her side.
However, the dream was sweet, but reality was cruel.
According to the report from the “spies”, Mo Kun had left the sanatorium in Hokkaido and lived in Qiuzi’s home in Kyoto.
Qiuzi’s father was a rich businessman and her mother was really beautiful. When she was young, she was called “the most beautiful woman in all of the 4,000 years of Japan’s history”.
Qiuzi was a comic illustrator and moved out of her house in Tokyo two years prior. She had her own house in Kyoto.
