Chapter 504: Chapter 498: Who Is It After All?
The terrifying destructive power brought by the ultra-high speed was seen when the second bullet hit him. The white shield on his body meant to block the bullets exploded into fragments, and the device on his back burst into a ball of bright fire and instantly became useless. His face changed dramatically. Even though his complexion was not the same as a human’s, Finn Lewis could still tell.
Soon, over a dozen T1000 robots rushed out of the forest. They swiftly reached the alien and their hands gripped him firmly.
The enemy was quick in response as well. The moment he saw the T1000s charging out, he extended his hand to grab another device on his back. But just as he moved, a dim blue ray shot out of nowhere and struck his hand, turning it into dust. With this ray’s emission, a faint silhouette appeared mid-air, making Finn’s eyes widen in shock.
Although the silhouette quickly disappeared into thin air, Finn had seen it. It was some strangely designed aircraft or a spaceship of some sort. It must belong to Zero, Finn thought. It seemed Zero still had many things Finn didn’t know about.
A sharp scream sounded. The creature’s hand had turned into dust, and an indigo-purple blood quickly flowed from the wound on his arm. A T1000 robot grabbed a silver ring-shaped object from his body, fit it over the wounded arm, and pressed a button. Under Finn’s astounded gaze, a silver circle engulfed his arm wound, and rays of white light projected from the ring onto the wound which closed at a visibly rapid speed.
In just a few dozen seconds, his arm wound had completely healed. Although he lost his hand and half of his arm, the wound no longer bled, and it seemed his life was no longer in danger. His complexion, however, had turned from bright blue to slightly pale.
“Who are you?” Before Finn could speak, the creature, held tightly to the ground by four T1000s, stared at Finn in astonishment and fear. Finn was slightly taken aback but didn’t show it. He glared at him menacingly and asked, “You came to kill me, and you don’t know who I am?”
“I only received a Silver Arrest Warrant for you, I know nothing else. But… the warrant only stated you were an ordinary person.” The creature said with a slightly twisted face.
Just as Finn was ready to retort, a series of warning beeps echoed off the creature’s body. Although Finn didn’t know what the noise meant, the tone made him feel it was nothing good.
The creature’s face changed dramatically, and he started shouting in a language Finn did not understand. Before Finn could react, a T1000 robot charged in from the side and pinned him down. The next moment, the creature’s head exploded, his brain matter splattering like a watermelon.
“Damn!” Finn uttered a curse as he crawled from under the T1000 robot. Looking at the rapidly dissipating creature’s remains, he couldn’t help but curse again. Now, the creature’s body was rapidly melting away as if it had been splashed with the corpse dissolving water from a martial arts novel. The constant clinking sounds were made by the objects that were originally equipped on the creature falling to the ground. Its body had completely turned into a pile of liquid, seeping into the ground, leaving nothing behind.
Finn watched in shock. As all the gear of the creature fell to the ground, a “puff” of smoke started to rise from the equipment, and blue lights continued to flash rapidly. Soon, all the equipment turned into a pile of scrap metal.
“Take all this stuff away.” Finn quickly ordered as he scanned his surroundings.
A T1000 robot immediately walked over and cleaned up all the equipment. By now, more than forty T1000s had appeared around them. Finn remained silent and quickly started to move away. The commotion here was so grand that although he didn’t know if Celeston City had noticed, even if the aliens could not be detected, the destroyed trees and other things would soon be discovered.
Finn did not want to stay here. Most importantly, the Goddess of Light car that was damaged on the road was crucial. “Olivia, are you okay?” Finn asked tentatively, reminded that Olivia’s main body was still in the car.
“Master, I’m fine. Don’t worry about me, my main body is not damaged. Master, you better leave here quickly.”
“Zero, take the car away.” Finn quickly ordered. As Finn’s words fell, a violent light burst out in the sky above. He immediately looked up, only to see a green light column falling rapidly from mid-air. The light column was so terrifying that Finn’s face was filled with horror. Bloody hell, I’m not going to die like this, am I? Because this thing looked just like the super-powerful optical weapons seen in sci-fi movies.
But Finn was wrong again. The green light column was fast and urgent. But when it fell from the sky, it emitted a strong vibration with a “buzz” sound. A green membrane began to rapidly spread across the ground, sweeping over Finn’s body at a speed so fast it was impossible to react to it. He barely felt anything.
It felt as if his body had been scanned by something, but there didn’t seem to be any problems. However, in a place Finn did not see, the remaining forty percent energy of the Little Wildcat Protective Suit suddenly dropped to less than 12%. The reason Finn didn’t notice was that his exposed hands seemed to be fine, and the T1000 robots standing around him didn’t seem to have any problems.
But the next scene caught Finn off guard. Along with the green film, a huge semi-transparent shield enveloped the area within a radius of several kilometers, as if a green cover had contained the entire area inside.
At the source of the green light column, a beautifully designed spaceship appeared. It was an extremely sci-fi warship with a smooth exterior covered in gold and silver. When you saw it, you could sense its luxury. Although Finn had never seen any other spaceship before, even at first glance, this spaceship was extraordinarily lavish.
