Chapter 53: Young Master Out To Buy Groceries
Gu Shinian looked dumbfounded, while Qin Muchen was indifferent to its barks. After barking at her, Gun Gun dashed to Qin Muchen’s side to please him, rubbing its fluffy head at his thighs.
It was obvious that it was seeking its owner’s hugs and pats.
Qin Muchen was at a loss for words.
Gu Shinian was dumbstruck.
She felt amused at the dog’s behavior.
“This dog lives on somebody while helping others secretly. What have you done to it? Why did it turn to be like this? I really feel like spanking it.”
Qin Muchen was at a loss for words.
He lowered his head, staring at the dog that had a drastic change in its behavior and was now throwing itself into his arms. He totally agreed with Gu Shinian.
It indeed needed a spanking.
…
The atmosphere between them had become much better.
After dinner, Qin Muchen brought Gu Shinian to the supermarket without another word.
Seeing that it had been neglected, Gun Gun jumped against the door of the driver seat enthusiastically. But it was sent to one side by Qin Muchen mercilessly.
“What are we doing at the supermarket?” Gu Shinian was curious. Qin Muchen pushed a trolley to her.
“Get some groceries,” Qin Muchen barked coldly.
Get groceries?
“What?” Gu Shinian suspected that she had heard wrong.
Qin Muchen cast a sideways glance at her feeling impatient. There was a flicker of awkwardness in his deep eyes. “Aren’t you going to prepare meals for me?”
Oh, she prepared meals for him and therefore he brought her to the supermarket to get the ingredients.
It was such a weird logic.
While Gu Shinian was still trying to figure it out, Qin Muchen took something from the rack and threw it casually into the trolley.
Gu Shinian lowered her head to take a look, it was an ordinary meal box.
Very soon, Qin Muchen picked some other things and threw them into the trolley without another look.
Gu Shinian trailed behind him. She was surprised at his familiarity with the supermarket. “Do you shop in the supermarket often?”
She remembered clearly that Qin Muchen was not a domesticated man.
Qin Muchen shook his head, his voice lazy. “No.”
“…Then do you know how to pick the ingredients?” Gu Shinian was hoping to get a positive answer.
Seeing the way he took the items and threw them into the trolley casually, she was confident that he knew what he was doing.
To her surprise, Qin Muchen’s answer was far from what she expected. “No, I just chose the more expensive items.”
Gu Shinian rolled her eyes.
She bent down and took out the items from the trolley, returning them to the rack. “I will do it. Let me do it.”
If Qin Muchen was to pick the ingredients, there would only be one outcome: the price would be astoundingly high.
Qin Muchen had no objections. He trailed behind her, watching as she took some items from the rack and compared them before she placed them into the trolley.
For some reasons, the way she lowered her head, seriously choosing the ingredients with some strands of hair covering her face, was particularly lovely and mesmerizing.
Qin Muchen could not tear his eyes away from her.
She would mutter to herself occasionally. She would open and close her mouth, talking to herself. He was reminded of certain nights when she begged for mercy, with him hovering over her on the bed.
He could sense blood rushing to his abdomen.
Qin Muchen lowered his head to check and his expression darkened.
It… actually happened!
Gu Shinian had just placed the meal box into the trolley when she felt a sharp pain at her wrist. She was being yanked to the front.
“What are you doing, let go…”
Gu Shinian stopped in mid-sentence, her eyes widened in shock.
She could clearly feel something hard and burning near her abdomen.
That, that was…
She lowered her head and she blushed.
“Qin Muchen!” Gu Shinian was flustered and exasperated. “We are picking out the ingredients. What are you thinking about?!”
