Chapter 114: Apocalypse: My Tyrant Brother (33)
Xia Min sat there with a very long and bitter face and shivered with great anger. He thought he must have gone crazy and been stupid enough to have those thoughts in his mind.
“Brother, don’t be upset.” Xia Liang comforted him as she didn’t receive any response from Xia Min who was obviously in great anger. She thought he was mad at her because she refused to sit next to him, “I will listen to you from now on.”
Xia Min took a deep breath, turned his head and looked at Xia Liang, squeezed out a smile, and said, “I’m not upset.”
Even if he was upset, he should be upset with himself!
He was sick that he would have such dirty thoughts on his own sister!
At this moment, Xia Min could not feel the air around him became thin. He could not even breathe and his heart and lung even ached.
“Glad to know that you are not upset.” Xia Liang didn’t give it much thought any more. She took out of a pack of compressed biscuits, handed to Xia Min and said, “Brother, we don’t have much food left. When we get to the downtown, we need to collect some.”
“Hmm.” Xia Min nodded, took the biscuit and said, “You eat some, and take a nap.”
“I am not tired.” Xia Liang shook her head and said, “I can keep an eye on Dong Jun so that you can take a nap first.”
Xia Min gave a look at Xia Liang and said, “Did you just say that you would listen to me?”
In Xia Min’s opinion, Dong Jun was the most dangerous at the moment. Even he was exhausted, he would not leave the danger to his sister or anyone else in the group.
Xia Liang had no other choice but listened to him. After she took a few bites, she closed her eyes for resting her mind a bit as Xia Min had told her to. She could take his brother’s shift later once she woke up.
The rest of the group were still upset as they were worried about their families and the unknown situation of S city, and especially Dong Jun might turn into a monster in any time. They dared not to sleep even though they were worn out.
No one was asleep, but no one was talking. The overall ambience of the car was nasty.
The town was located in the suburbs of the city, still in the downtown area. Normally, it took more than three hours to drive to the city from the town.
It was daytime in May. The sunset was about 5-6 o ‘clock.
It was about noon when they left the town. Therefore, when they arrived at the downtown, it was only four o ‘clock before it got dark.
Xia Liang was calculating how much time they had with eyes closed. They still had enough time to find a shelter and spend one night safely.
Just like that, one hour later, Xia Liang opened her eyes, dragged Xia Min and said, “Brother, see, Dong Jun is still fine. He hasn’t become a monster yet after such a long time. He is not going to be a problem.”
“Yes! Yes!” Dong Jun pointed to himself at the minute he heard Xia Liang and said, “Xia Liang is right. I don’t feel any pain and I am not thirsty. I am not afraid of sunshine. My eyes are not red or painful. I don’t have any symptoms of the monsters. Boss Xia, you have to believe me! I am not going to turn to a monster!”
Dong Jun was so moved back earlier when Xia Liang spoke for him and made up his mind to follow Xia Liang and Xia Min as their minion.
Therefore, he called Xia Min boss for a change.
Xia Min nodded and started to believe that Dong Jun would not become a monster.
“Brother,” Xia Liang also added as Xia Min changed his mind, “if you don’t sleep now, you won’t be able to sleep tonight.”
Xia Min got her point because the monsters hid themselves at day time for they were scared of sunshine and came out on the street at night time. Xia Liang gave him a great suggestion. Yes. If he didn’t have some sleep, he wouldn’t have a chance to sleep at night.
If he couldn’t have a quality sleep, there was no way to protect his sister.
Thinking of this, Xia Min no longer insisted and closed his eyes to rest after giving a few words to Xia Liang.
