Chapter 255: I’ll Give It All Back
Ye Zhenyan fished out a mirror all of a sudden. The blood on his hand covered the mirror, and it quickly moved toward Lu Mingshu.
He didn’t even care about the injury Ying caused. He just focused everything on tackling Lu Mingshu.
Clack! Their swords met.
In the blink of an eye, Ye Zhenyan abruptly pulled out from his scabbard. He held the blade and went for Lu Mingshu’s chest!
Ying gasped.
It was at such close proximity, and he went for her chest. Did Ye Zhenyan want her dead?!
Just at this time, Ye Mingguang suddenly stopped his attack and pounced at Ye Zhenyan.
“Third Brother, no!”
For him to go after Lu Mingshu, Ye Zhenyan gave up everything else, and this pounce from Ye Mingguang made him lose his balance.
“You—!” The brothers were in a mess, and both of them fell just like that.
Plop!
There were only four left now, and they were all dumbfounded.
Everything passed by in a flash, and they were unable to react.
What just happened? Ye Zhenyan wanted Lu Mingshu’s life, but he was spoiled by his own brother? That Ye Mingguang is insane!
Ling Wuxia smiled and shook her head. “This twelfth young master of the Ye Family has strong morals.”
She was aware of what happened between Lu Mingshu and the Ye Family. Lu Mingshu helped Ye Mingguang and offended Ye Zhenfan and the rest. They tried to assault her, but they were the ones taken down instead, which caused Ye Zhenyan to step out. Ye Mingguang benefited quite a lot from Lu Mingshu; he wouldn’t have been given the chance to come here if not for her.
Was Ye Zhenyan regretting it now? At the crucial moment, he was beaten by his own brother.
When Lu Mingshu finally reacted, she cleaned her blouse and looked at Ling wuxia. “It’s a good thing to help those in need, right?” she said in a monotone.
She never expected Ye Mingguang to do this. She helped him out of pity, and she never expected him to pay her back. Besides, even if Ye Mingguang hadn’t done that, she would have only suffered minor injuries. Lu Mingshu had her plans.
But since the other party had already done so, she should be grateful no matter what.
“Okay, so now, there’s only us four.” She looked back and smiled. “Let’s continue.”
…
“What? The Grandmaster has left?”
Xuan Xiu nodded. Yu Ruohan and Sir Ning stared at her in a daze.
The three of them sat in silence, at a loss for words.
They still thought that they would have a chance. If Lu Mingshu won, Mao Xuan could use the blessed land to break through to the Assimilation Realm, and they could keep the Bon Voyage Fleet. But now, even if Lu Mingshu ended up as the chosen one, it was no longer their matter.
Gift? Why the hell would they need a gift? The blessed land was what they needed, and only that!
The Grandmaster had already left, so they would never get that chance now. Who knew when he would be back, if at all? And without his permission, who would dare to enter?
They suddenly lost their way.
After a few moments, Sir Ning laughed bitterly. “God’s plans supersede humans’. If this is fate, we should abide by it.”
Yu Ruohan’s eyes were brimming with tears.
“Senior Brother…” Xuan Xiu sniffed.
Sounds could be heard from outside. It was the Ye Family brothers sent out now.
If not for the previous matter, they would have been celebrating with firecrackers. How happy would they be if they could go without being under their control? But now, what did it have to do with them anymore?
Yu Ruohan held back her tears and forced a smile. “It’s fate. Since God planned this, we have nothing more to say. Let’s wait for Lu Mingshu to come out, and we can go back to pack up. The fleet is so big, so we can sell it for a high price!”
Speaking about this, Xuan Xiu could no longer control her tears. Tears flowed down her cheeks as she sobbed.
“It’s okay.” Yu Ruohan hugged her. “Junior sister, as long as we are together, we can always go to other places, and anywhere is fine. We can build another Bon Voyage Fleet even if this one is gone.”
As Yu Ruohan was comforting her junior sister, tears streamed down her face too. All of them had worked so hard, and to lose it just like that…
Piak! As soon as the Ye brothers were pulled up, Ye Mingguang was given a slap.
Ye Zhenyan was covered with water. His long eyelashes were soaked, and his eyes were like a venomous snake. He looked at his twelfth brother, fuming with anger. “No wonder they do not want to admit your mother! Betraying your own to help others!”
The Ye Family members who were about to move forward stood rooted to the ground.
What made the third young master so angry?
Ye Mingguang’s cheek turned red immediately. He looked at his feet, not daring to look into Ye Zhenyan’s eyes.
“What? Do you not know what to say?” Who knew that Ye Zhenyan would be even angrier when he didn’t receive an answer? “Did the Ye Family not treat you well? Don’t you still want to be here?”
Ye Mingguang fidgeted and mumbled, “But Third Brother, if you kill her, we will be in trouble. The Zhongzhou-”
“Don’t bullshit!” Ye Zhenyan yelled. “You know that I’m aware of what I’m doing. Why don’t you admit it was just because you’re selfish?!”
“Yes….” Ye Mingguang looked up, his cheek still red, but no fear could be seen from his eyes. “If not for her, I would not be here, thanks to Ninth Brother. I couldn’t just watch her die.”
“If she doesn’t die, then you will!” Ye Zhenyan looked at him coldly.
Instead of apologizing, Ye Mingguang laughed. “I already have enough! So what if you are one of the three biggest aristocratic families? Bullying and stepping on the poor…. My mother’s dead, and I have no father, so what’s the point of having a surname of Ye? I’m just a bastard anyway!”
“Okay, fine!” Ye Zhenyan sneered. “Do you think you can just say that and it’ll be over? Who’s the one who fed you, and where do you think you got your cultivation?”
Ye Mingguang smiled. “Fine! I’ll give it all back!”
After saying that, he proceeded to hit himself in his crown chakra point.
“Ah!” The crowd was shocked. No one expected him to do as he said.
Piak! It was too fast. Ye Mingguang was bleeding, and he could feel that his mystic force was all gone. He looked up in excruciating pain and mumbled, “I will no longer have the surname of Ye. Are you happy now?”
Ye Zhenyan reached out to stop him, but it was too late. He retrieved his hand.
He stared at Ye Mingguang with a peculiar gaze, not knowing how to feel.
After a while, he spoke, “Fine! Since it’s your choice, I promise you that no one from Ye Family will pick on you, and neither will anyone protect you!”
Ye Mingguang sneered and jumped to the side, plopping down.
Now that his cultivation was gone and his meridians were paralyzed, it was unknown whether he could recover. Even if he did, it would be hard to get his cultivation back.
But it was okay. Since he chose to do this, he was ready to face the consequences.
He may regret it as time passes, but so what? I felt rather happy right now.
