Chapter 51: Sly Trick
“Yan Li, you’ve abducted the wrong person. She’s not my wife,” Ye Xiong said indifferently.
“Oh, so this is your cousin-in-law. So well developed for such a young age!” Yan Li’s sneering could be heard from the other end of the phone and what followed next was Tang Ning’s scream. It seemed like Tang Ning was being bullied.
“Yan Li, you’re a mercenary. Don’t lower yourself to the level of a thug by bullying a high school student! I’m the man you need, come after me if you’ve got the guts,” Ye Xiong said hastily.
Yan Li snickered. “I’m at a dead end. Prepare ten million bucks in cash immediately and wait to hear from me. You know what I’ll do if you report this to the police.”
“Ten million bucks is not an issue. You know that the Xinyi Group doesn’t lack money. If you harm her in any way, you won’t get a single cent from us.” Ye Xiong threatened.
Ye Xiong frowned as he ended the call.
The instant Yang Xinyi, who was beside him, heard Tang Ning had been abducted her face turned pale with fear. She was incredibly anxious. “Ye Xiong, you must save Lil Ning and ensure she’s safe, no matter what. Lil Aunt has only one daughter. If something were to ever happen to her, they would be devastated.”
“Don’t worry. I’ll definitely rescue her unscathed,” Ye Xiong said firmly.
Yan Li finally called at eight o’clock in the evening.
“Ye Xiong, tell your wife to bring the money to the city’s overpass and wait for my call.” Yan Li ordered.
“No can do. I’ll be the one bringing the money to you, no?”
“You don’t have a choice here.”
“I do. You’ve already kidnapped one of my people. I’m not stupid enough to send my wife to her death. If you want the money, I’ll be the one going. Feel free to do as you please if you don’t want the money. I’m telling you right now, the girl you’ve abducted is the daughter of a certain important figure in the capital. If you kill her, it doesn’t matter if you flee overseas, that important figure will definitely hunt you down. I’ll give you some time to think about it.” Ye Xiong hung up the instant he finished speaking.
“Are you crazy? What if the kidnapper snaps and killed Lil Ning?” Yang Xinyi was so worried that tears started rolling down her eyes. She hit Ye Xiong’s shoulder angrily and scolded. “It’s all your fault. If it wasn’t for you, Lil Ning wouldn’t have been abducted. This is your fault.”
Ye Xiong stood still and allowed her to vent her frustration.
“I don’t care how much you hate me, I won’t send you to your death.” Ye Xiong insisted.
Yang Xinyi was startled and stopped hitting him as she fell to the sofa and started crying.
“Don’t worry. Yan Li murdered a few police officers when he broke out of the police station. He has no money and no way of escape. He’s looking for cash, not to hurt anyone. As long as the money is in play, Tang Ning isn’t in any danger. Trust me, he’ll certainly call back.”
His phone rang again just as he finished comforting Yang Xinyi.
“Get the money and follow my orders…”
As Ye Xiong was about to leave the house with a suitcase, Yang Xinyi shouted. “Be careful and come back with her safely.”
Ye Xiong smiled, it was the first time Yang Xinyi had verbally shown concern for him. “Don’t you worry, nothing will happen to me until you fall in love with me.” After speaking, he left without looking back.
As she stared at his back, Yang Xinyi was filled with complicated emotions.
Following Yan Li’s strict orders, “Ye Xiong” drove the car to Jiangnan Bridge. When “Ye Xiong” reached the middle of the bridge, Yan Li ordered, “Stop by the side.”
Complying, “Ye Xiong” stopped the car and walked to the side of the bridge.
Ships sailed by underneath the bridge, as “Ye Xiong” looked around. He could not find any sign of Yan Li.
Then, he heard Yan Li’s scream. “Throw the suitcase into the sea, now.”
“Ye Xiong” looked down the bridge and saw a huge boat sailing underneath it.
“Quickly. Throw the money now if you want your cousin to stay alive.” Yan Li screamed angrily.
“Ye Xiong” threw the suitcase as instructed. Unfortunately, he had used too much force and the suitcase plunged into the river instead of landing on the boat.
“D*mn it. You did that on purpose.” Yan Li was furious as he screamed.
“It’s dark and your boat is so small. It’s no surprise I missed.” Ye Xiong explained.
“If that’s the case, don’t blame me for not keeping my promise.”
“Hold your horses. This is no big deal, all I need to do is to head down and bring back the suitcase.” Ye Xiong claimed.
“I’m sorry. You already got your chance. You’re the one who didn’t cherish the opportunity, so you can’t blame me for what’s going to happen next.”
On the boat in the river.
Yan Li’s expression was ice-cold as he stared at Tang Ning, who had been wrapped up like a Zongzi 1. His gaze was incredibly fierce.
“Since your cousin-in-law failed to save you, you better complain to the devil himself when you’re in hell.”
Tang Ning’s mouth had been gagged. Her eyes widened as tears rolled down her cheeks.
She shook her head desperately. It looked like she had something to say but, unfortunately, she could not utter a single word.
‘Oh my God. I’m only eighteen years old and still a virgin. I have yet to enjoy life and I’m just going to die like this! It’s so unfair!’
In order to survive, Tang Ning kept whimpering and screaming, trying to speak.
Yan Li removed the cloth in her mouth and said, “If you’ve got any last words, say them now. I’ll give you the chance to speak a few more words before you die.”
Tang Ning panted loudly when the cloth was taken away. Her chest was a lethal weapon as the way they kept moving up and down made it even more seductive.
Yan Li could not help but swallow his saliva when he saw it.
This weapon was simply too lethal!
Tang Ning decided to bet on her life. Survival was the only thing that mattered.
“Hey big brother, I’m only eighteen years old. I haven’t had the luxury of enjoying life yet and I really don’t want to die like this!” Tang Ning acted pitiful as she spoke. “Why don’t you sleep with me for a night then release me the next morning. I promise I won’t tell anyone or report it to the police.”
Yan Li swallowed more saliva as he stared intently at Tang Ning’s chest. His will had started to bend.
“Big brother, I beg of you, take me. I’ve never known what it feels like to be a woman.” Tang Ning begged.
Yan Li knew that he could not stay here any longer. However, seeing that Ye Xiong was still on top of the bridge and still quite far away, Yan Li expected that it would take some time for the man to arrive. Hence, he said, “You little b*tch, I’ve never seen a high school student acting this lustfully before. Tonight, I’ll make you feel like you’re in heaven before putting you through hell.”
He was ready to rip off Tang Ning’s shirt when he finished speaking. However just as he was about to do so, he heard a snicker behind him.
“I, too, have never seen such a lustful high school student in my life.”
It was Ye Xiong’s voice.
“Impossible. You were just on the bridge, how did you get here so quickly?” Yan Li was shocked and was about to use Tang Ning as a hostage.
However, the black figure flashed before him. Although Ye Xiong had moved later, he managed to grab hold of Tang Ning and hid her behind him.
“Yan Li, you’ve been a mercenary for so many years yet never considered such a simple tactic? I was never on the bridge. That’s just a friend of mine.” Ye Xiong’s gaze turned emotionless when he finished speaking.
“Either you commit suicide or I’ll send you to hell!”
“It’s still too early to say who’s going to die!”
Yan Li went for his gun and prepared to fire, but a bright light flashed just as he was drawing his gun. A knife protruded out of his wrist.
Ye Xiong had made his move too.
Only one word could describe him – fast. Yan Li felt a pain in his stomach before he was able to react.
Ye Xiong did not hold back, punching Yan Li in the stomach multiple times and causing him to bend over. Ye Xiong then threw Yan Li into the boat’s cabin and said indifferently, “Next, I’ll be asking some questions and you’ll be answering them. If you answer incorrectly, I’ll chop off your fingers, one by one.”
