Chapter 476: Chapter 476: Yin Qin drunkenly enters Luo Xiaolang’s home (third update)
Luo Xiaolang hadn’t expected to receive a call from Yin Qin, nor had she intended to answer his call.
She’d just put her little tiger to bed when the phone rang. Without glancing at the caller ID, for fear of waking her child, she immediately answered the call.
Blitzed, Yin Qin’s voice carried over the line. “Baixin, come get me, I’m drunk…”
She wanted to hang up.
But a second later, she corrected him. “I’m not Ji Baixin, I’m Luo Xiaolang.”
In his drunken stupor, Yin Qin seemed to snap awake.
He suddenly sat bolt upright, holding his phone.
Luo Xiaolang thought he hadn’t heard her clearly because of his drunken state.
So, she repeated herself. “Yin Qin, I’m not Ji Baixin. I’m Luo Xiaolang. You dialed the wrong number.”
There was no response at the other end.
Luo Xiaolang reasoned, whether he heard her or not, she’d informed him.
She was about to hang up when…
“Xiaolang, have you gone to bed yet?” Yin Qin suddenly spoke out.
Luo Xiaolang was taken aback, and replied somewhat coldly, “I was planning to.”
“Oh,” Yin Qin merely responded.
Luo Xiaolang didn’t have much else to say to Yin Qin.
She was about to hang up again.
But then Yin Qin spoke again. “Xiaolang, thank you.”
For a moment, Luo Xiaolang didn’t comprehend.
Yin Qin continued, “Thank you for the words you said in the media.”
“Don’t mention it,” Luo Xiaolang responded directly. “What I said was merely to completely sever our ties. It was my fault, it was always my fault. Now everyone knows that it was me who pressed you, there’s no longer any moral kidnapping. You’re not misunderstood by the public anymore. Now that everything is out in the open, let’s consider matters between us closed.”
In other words, there was nothing she could do to make it up to him anymore.
She had indeed done her part and fulfilled her obligations.
Yin Qin just held his phone, not able to utter a word.
Not knowing if he was sad.
Not understanding why he was so devastated.
Luo Xiaolang didn’t know what Yin Qin was thinking, or what his current mood was.
She then heard Yin Qin suddenly say, “Xiaolang, I’m getting married.”
“I know,” she had read the news.
Previously, she hadn’t because the duties of motherhood left her with no time to spare.
But after Ji Baixin told her that Yin Qin was getting harshly criticized, she found some time to look, free of any preconceptions, seeking only the truth.
And then she saw Yin Qin’s public announcement of his wedding with Ji Baixin.
If she wasn’t mistaken, the wedding was scheduled for the 27th of that month.
“Do you hate me?” Yin Qin asked her.
Suddenly, like a child, he wanted to know her thoughts.
Impudently irritating, yet uncontrollably curious.
“No,” Luo Xiaolang answered.
“Will you be upset if I marry Baixin?”
“No,” Luo Xiaolang calmly responded.
“Are you lying?”
“No,” Luo Xiaolang genuinely wasn’t.
She didn’t hate Yin Qin, and she wouldn’t be upset because Yin Qin was marrying someone else. When she left Yin Qin, she truly left.
This person no longer occupied a place in her heart.
“Did you ever like me?” Yin Qin suddenly asked.
An unexpected question, that caught even him by surprise.
And yet he felt unusually anxious, eagerly awaiting her answer.
Luo Xiaolang remained silent.
She said, “Go home if you’re drunk, and don’t dial the wrong number again.”
Then, she coldly hung up the call.
Yin Qin stared blankly at his phone.
Wondering why he had dialed Luo Xiaolang’s number.
Wondering why hearing her voice made his heart race.
Wondering why he felt such an urgent need to know if Luo Xiaolang had ever liked him?
Sitting in the private room, he froze.
The waiter was in a bit of a predicament.
After waiting for Yin Qin who showed no signs of stirring, he finally stepped forward and asked, “Young Master Yin, do you need me to accompany you home?”
“Where can I go home to? My mother drove me away, I’m not going back. Bring me more alcohol.”
“Young Master Yin…”
“I want to drink!” Saying this, Yin Qin threw a wad of cash from his wallet.
The waiter, left with no choice, brought him more alcohol.
Yin Qin drank by himself until he was eventually sent home by the waiter.
The waiter drove Yin Qin to a high-end residential community.
Yes. When he had nowhere else to go, he went to Ji Baijian’s place.
Staggering into the elevator, he shakily punched in the numbers, stumbled out of the elevator, and then onto the door.
When Mrs. Wu opened the door, the strong smell of alcohol hit her.
Before she could say anything, Yin Qin said, “Let me stay the night.”
Mrs. Wu watched as Yin Qin walked straight in and crashed onto the sofa, only to jump back up within the space of a second or less, and run off towards the restroom, followed by the heart-wrenching sounds of retching.
Luo Xiaolang was roused by the commotion and saw the silhouette of Yin Qin rushing to the toilet.
She turned her head to look at Aunt Wu.
Aunt Wu was equally perplexed, she said, “The young master said to sleep for one night.”
Luo Xiaolang didn’t say much, she went back to her room, grabbed her phone and dialed a number.
Somone answered the call, “Luo Xiaolang?”
“Yin Qin is drunk at my place, could you please come and pick him up.” Luo Xiaolang stated directly.
Ji Baixin’s face changed instantly, “What did you say?”
“I’ll send you the address.” Luo Xiaolang didn’t want to explain, she just wanted Yin Qin to leave as soon as possible.
Hanging up the call, she went out.
Yin Qin was laying on the couch again, motionless.
Luo Xiaolang stood in a corner of the living room, waiting for Ji Baixin’s arrival.
Aunt Wu wasn’t going to sleep at that moment either.
Luo Xiaolang looked at the time, “Aunt Wu, you go to sleep first. Please help me take care of the little tiger while I wait for Ji Baixin to pick up Yin Qin.”
“Oh, alright.” Aunt Wu felt that it’s best for her to keep quiet about their affairs.
When Aunt Wu left, it was only Luo Xiaolang and Yin Qin left in the living room.
Luo Xiaolang didn’t even look at Yin Qin, she was looking at the news on her phone, quietly waiting for Ji Baixin.
Yin Qin stayed on the couch for a while, he squirmed uncomfortably, “I want to drink water.”
Luo Xiaolang ignored him.
“I want to drink water.” Yin Qin requested.
Luo Xiaolang still didn’t move.
“Give me some water, my stomach feels uncomfortable.” Yin Qin mumbled.
Luo Xiaolang put down her phone.
She turned around, went to the kitchen, poured a glass of water, and handed it to Yin Qin.
Yin Qin eagerly took the cup of water. He was wondering when did Baijian become so kind-hearted.
He took the cup of water and without thinking, he drank it all in one go.
The word “hot” from Luo Xiaolang didn’t even reach him before he spewed the water out in one powerful gulp.
His mouth was painfully burned.
He yelled out, “Bai…”
But he was silenced by the straight-faced Luo Xiaolang in front of him.
Was he seeing things? Why was he seeing Luo Xiaolang?
He couldn’t possibly be hallucinating.
“It’s me, not Ji Baixin.” Luo Xiaolang spoke lightly.
Yin Qin was just staring at Luo Xiaolang.
Luo Xiaolang was unfazed by Yin Qin’s stare, she said, “You can leave whenever you’re sober.”
It seemed that Yin Qin suddenly snapped back. He looked around and asked,”How am I here?”
“You walked into the wrong place.” Luo Xiaolang stated bluntly.
Yin Qin thought for a second, it seemed like he did go to the wrong place.
He clearly went to Baijian’s house.
He stood up and prepared to leave. Just as he was about to exit, he suddenly shouted out, “Luo Xiaolang, you say you don’t hate me, but you were trying to scald me to death!”
His mouth hurt so much now, he couldn’t even speak properly!
It was so painful.
Luo Xiaolang didn’t want to waste her time explaining.
She simply walked away.
Yin Qin followed Luo Xiaolang’s steps.
His head is all dizzy.
He’s trying to walk in a straight line.
Luo Xiaolang opened the door, signaling Yin Qin to leave.
Just as Yin Qin was about to leave, he stopped, “Do you hate me?”
Luo Xiaolang didn’t respond.
“Admit it,” Yin Qin seemed quite sure of himself.
Luo Xiaolang was running out of patience with him.
“Luo Xiaolang… ah, don’t push me…”
Yi Qin was pushed out by Luo Xiaolang directly.
Yin Qin was still resisting.
However, Luo Xiaolang was too strong for him to fight back. He was about to fall to the ground when he quickly grabbed Luo Xiaolang’s clothes. They tripped over each other, Luo Xiaolang lost her balance, and they both fell down together.
Yin Qin was in pain and scowling.
Luo Xiaolang was also a bit angry.
Luo Xiaolang crawled up from Yin Qin…
At this moment, the elevator suddenly opened.
Ji Baixin appeared right before them.
Yin Qin was dumbfounded.
Ji Baixin was also stunned.
Luo Xiaolang was quite calm, she calmly got up from Yin Qin in front of Ji Baixin.
After getting up, she nonchalantly walked back into her house.
With a “bang” sound, she shut them out.
Yin Qin and Ji Baixin were left, looking at each other.
“Would you believe me if I told you it was an accident?” Yin Qin asked.
Ji Baixin gave a cold snort of laughter.
It was an accident. An accident that made his mouth swell.
