Chapter 42: A Three-Person Meal

There was a strange atmosphere in the restaurant.

Three people were seated at a table.

Gu Anbao had originally wanted to stand further away, but Chen Yuheng forced her to sit down and had no intention of letting her go. He didn’t say anything courteous or considerate to the beautiful lady.

Chen Yuheng then said to the waiter, “That will be all. Serve the dishes quickly, I still have something to do this afternoon.”

Xiao Ya’s expression was becoming even uglier…

Gu Anbao bit her lips. Going against her conscience, she switched to the camera function on her phone.

Xiao Ya had touched up her make-up, before returning to her seat.

The dishes had not been served. Therefore, they fell into silence, leaving the atmosphere a little cold.

Xiao Ya glanced at Chen Yuheng. His head was lowered, seemingly having no intention to speak. Holding back on her displeasure, Xiao Ya was first to break the silence.

“I guess that Madam Shen must have already told Mr.Chen about my situation. I should just introduce myself. I am a jewel designer and I’ve just returned from overseas not long ago. I am currently a designer working at Rong Sheng corporation.”

She finished her introduction in a few simple sentences before looking at Chen Yuheng.

“Oh.” Chen Yuheng nodded his head indifferently, not saying anything else.
