Chapter 46: The Woman Chosen by Destiny (2)
The man’s deep and magnetic voice, mixed with a trace of fascination, rang in Muyan’s ears. “You are mine.”
In the next moment, Muyan’s eyes widened sharply and her body stiffened all over.
While Han Ye, who followed, stumbled and nearly fell straight off the cliff.
Wait! Wait a minute! What is Supreme Master doing?
Is he kissing the destiny-chosen woman? And he’s using the power of oath?!
Wait! My Supreme Master! Aren’t we here to kill her?
Who in the world said that the destiny-chosen woman was troublesome and it’d be better to just kill her?!
Did I remember wrong, or has Supreme Master lost his memory?
…
The man slowly straightened up and looked at the girl standing in a daze, a soft smile passing through his eyes.
His fingers ran over the Tianmo Zither below lightly, touching the faint, almost invisible imprint of the name with his fingertips.
The man then spoke again as if making an oath: “Jun Muyan is mine!”
Muyan came to her senses with a rush. When she realized what just happened, Muyan became irritated immediately.
She raised her hand and was about to slap him violently!
But the moment she was about to slap him, the figure before her vanished like an illusion.
There was still a cold wind at the top of the cliff and bodies were everywhere as if nothing had changed.
Was what happened just a figment of her imagination?
While Muyan was feeling astonished, Xiaobao rushed into her arms in a flash and raised his tight, small face to look at his mommy. His sapphires-like eyes read: “I’m not happy.”
“Baby, what’s wrong?” Muyan asked hurriedly.
Xiaobao leaned closer into Muyan’s arms as he held her face and kissed her deeply on each cheek.
Then he spoke aloud, like he was making an oath with his cold, child’s voice: “Mommy, you’re mine!”
Muyan: …
…
After the strange man who kissed her disappeared, Muyan forgot about this guy and led Xiaobao to enter the space again.
Upon their entering the space, they saw the white rabbit lying on its back on the grass, snoring loudly in its sleep.
Its sleeping posture was more like a person than a rabbit.
And judging from the way that the rabbit slept soundly and occasionally nibbled the grass on its side, it was probably very satisfied with the space.
The space was really large, especially the large lawn which Muyan felt could feed a large group of horses.
Muyan walked into the Tianmo Palace as she held Xiaobao’s hands.
Then Muyan discovered this place wasn’t so much a palace as a library building.
The building was ring-shaped and stood high.
Muyan looked up to see that all the shelves were made of mahogany.
Unfortunately, the shelves were all empty except for a few scattered, broken old books.
But everywhere on the floor of the palace was open books.
Several books were even torn off and scattered around.
Muyan looked at her surroundings and the ridiculously high shelves and felt somewhat speechless. Luckily, there were a few books on them or she would have a problem taking them down.
“Mommy?” Xiaobao called lightly, still expressionless. “What are we gonna do?”
Muyan crouched down to look at Xiaobao as she smiled and said, “Mommy needs to get some information. Xiaobao, you know Aunt Baili said before she disappeared that the Tianmo Zither was broken, so Mommy needs to find a method within this space to repair it. Can you help me search the pages for clues?”
