The man’s voice seemed to remind Muyan of something. She didn’t wake up until she was cut open in her previous life.
But in this life, she woke up in advance due to the sharp pain.
So she overheard this conversation.
“Remember to be careful with the baby in her belly; it must be safe and sound.”
“Please rest assured, Lord. We absolutely guarantee that the baby will be delivered safely to you. Heehee, we’ve heard that human placenta is most nourishing for women…”
A man’s voice suddenly became shrill. “Don’t talk nonsense. The more you know, the faster you’ll die!”
Big Aunt Su immediately changed the topic with reverence and awe. “Yes, yes, yes, I shouldn’t open my big mouth! I don’t know anything!”
“Deliver the baby to the teahouse we agreed upon before noon. I’ll wait for you at the usual place. Remember, make sure the baby is safe and sound!”
Big Aunt’s delighted and ingratiating voice drifted away outside. Presumably she had gone to see the man out.
Muyan came to abruptly and found she had bitten through her own lips. Fishy, sweet blood filled the tip of her tongue.
She remembered the scene in which her own baby was removed. Big Aunt and the others left with her baby in a lunch box cheerily and took it away.
No one cared about her, who was still lying in bed and waiting for every drop of blood to drain from her body.
When she finally gave up in great despair, Gong Qianxue showed up.
Gong Qianxue saved her and gave her hope to live on.
But Muyan never would’ve expected that it was Gong Qianxue who should’ve taken the blame for everything that happened.
The man must’ve been sent by Gong Qianxue. Otherwise, how could it have been such a coincidence that Gong Qianxue appeared and saved her in time?
Upon thinking this, a terrifying coldness and determination gathered in Muyan’s pupils.
She was blind in her last life and treated her enemies as benefactors.
But now, God had given her a second chance. She would never allow anyone to hurt her child.
Her eyes fell on her upper belly and her expression became very tender. “Baby, you’re helping your mother in this life, aren’t you?”
It was the pain caused by the baby’s violent struggle that woke her up prematurely and gave her time to handle this.
“Baby, don’t worry. I’ll protect you well in this life!”
She then began to wiggle her tied-up hands and struggle violently. The rough hemp rope rubbed against her delicate skin and dug into them badly immediately.
But Muyan didn’t seem to feel the pain at all, and her struggling movements became more and more violent and determined.
One hand, free!
The other, free!
As she was about to get up and untie her feet, disordered footsteps approached the door.
Muyan’s face turned gloomy and she hesitated for a moment then she immediately lay back and pretended she was still tied up.
“Kazhi.” The door was pushed open.
Muyan turned her head sideways and discovered the people coming in were Big Aunt Su, Cousin Sisters Su Jinzhu and Su Baozhu, Cousin Brother Su Zhiyong and Cousin Sister-in-law Chen Yulan.
“Mother, she’s woken up!”
Upon hearing her daughter Su Jinzhu’s words, Big Aunt Su looked over at Jun Muyan in bed hurriedly.
She thought she would see Jun Muyan’s crying and begging face; she never would’ve expected she would see a pair of cold, clear eyes.
“Ah!” Upon being stared at like that, Big Aunt Su was scared and almost fell to the ground.
