Chapter 897: The Deal For “Nezha” Gets Finalized
It was inevitable that Su Yang had such thoughts.
During the meeting earlier, the few of them had not come up with any effective ideas. Only the Clown Sea Serpent had suggested that they kill them directly to end everything.
Of course, Su Yang rejected this idea.
After all, this method was not suitable to be used unless it was a matter of life and death since the risk and backlash were too great, and it might not be useful.
The greatest masterpiece in modern society was actually the intricate organization structure. In ancient times, without a leader, the organization could not function well. After many years of development, there was already a new set of rules.
Even if he did eliminate the president and vice president of Samsung, there were still other managers who could take over the company immediately.
Moreover, even if he managed to get rid of the entire management, the shareholders behind Samsung would show up to take over the company.
Therefore, the strategy of eliminating the ones at the top seats was no longer useful during those modern times.
‘A large company like Samsung is already a gathering of the interests of all parties. It can’t be destroyed just by eliminating one or two people.
‘Therefore, the best way to destroy a large financial group like Samsung would be to weaken them step by step or destroy them completely. This would reduce their benefits and make them decline.
‘Or… Put a wedge in them internally and let them fall apart through their internal conflicts and disagreements.
‘Of course, the best way to get this done would be to use my special items and special abilities.’
Su Yang merely counted the special abilities and items in his mind, but he could not find any suitable items.
Therefore, it was not surprising that Su Yang thought of the system that was having a point added onto it.
Every time the system gained a point, there would be a huge upgrade that would open up Su Yang’s eyes. Hence, he believed that it would not be an exception that time and that there might be something that could solve his current predicament.
With that thought, Su Yang could not help but look forward to the upgrade of the system.
‘I have no idea what new function the system would give me after this latest point, or what kind of strengthening I’d receive.
‘If only there’s something in it that could change the whole situation…’
After praying in his heart, Su Yang returned to the study room downstairs and started reading.
Even though he no longer needed to accumulate special effects servers, it might be true about how the repetition of a certain thing would turn into habit. Su Yang had gradually gotten used to having books in his hands, and he would pick them up and read them whenever he was free.
After reading for a while, Su Yang flipped through the last page of the book in his hand when he heard the notification of a new special effects server being received.
Every time he finished reading a book, he could receive a new server, which was what made Su Yang like reading.
He felt that he had the “habit” of a hamster. He liked to accumulate things. Everyday, when he saw the stuff in his hands increase, he felt an indescribable joy.
Su Yang put down the book in his hand and was about to go downstairs for a walk when his phone rang.
Su Yang waved his hand, and a translucent screen appeared before him. Then, he took a look and saw that it was a call from Guo Fan.
Even though Su Yang’s status was no longer the same as before, he still placed a lot of importance on his friends whom he had dated when he was “poor”.
Therefore, he picked up the phone with a smile and asked, “Director Guo, what brings you to call me today? Is there something you need?”
Perhaps people who pursued art had the trait of not bending over because of money. Hence, Guo Fan did not change his attitude just because of Su Yang’s identity. He was like the director who followed Su Yang around and worked as the overall planner in the past. He said with some familiarity and respect, “Mr. Su, I really do have something to talk to you about today.”
When Su Yang heard that something had happened, he asked directly, “What is it? Tell me.”
Guo Fan said, “I met a guy recently. He’s also in the film industry, but it’s just an animated film. I took a look and found it very interesting, it’s rather nice.
“He’s under a lot of pressure because he’s doing it by himself. So, he’s trying to see if he could gather some investments for a collaboration.”
At this point, Guo Fan paused and said, “That’s why I would like for the company to see what their assessment of him is. If possible, I would like to know if the company is willing to invest some money to support him?
“After all, not many people are focused on making movies anymore.”
When Su Yang heard that, he smiled and said, “You don’t have to tell the company about this. Just let me take a look at it. After all, it will all come to me in the end anyway.”
Initially, Guo Fan had called Su Yang with this purpose in mind. However, he was afraid that Su Yang would not care about the film industry anymore, so he used this as an excuse.
When he heard what Su Yang said, he immediately agreed. “Alright, Mr. Su. I’ll send you the project details later.”
Su Yang replied, “Okay.”
Su Yang hung up the phone and continued to head downstairs. Jiadian Group was getting bigger and bigger at that moment, with over 100 billion USD in cash. It was already a huge corporation.
If Su Yang was in charge, he would have been stretched thin. Fortunately, Su Yang had already poached Zhao Licheng.
With Zhao Licheng around, the entire company gradually got on the right track. In the past two years, Zhao Licheng and Li Zijun had poached talents from various companies and schools in the country. They had filled the positions of the company and its subsidiary companies.
The company also set up various decision-making departments and invested in many companies and projects.
Generally speaking, these projects would go through three selection processes before coming to Little Hus for it to sniff. If it picked up a scent, it would give it the go ahead. Otherwise, it would be a no-go.
Generally speaking, those that were selected by these people were mostly good projects. In fact, of the hundreds of projects that Little Hus had smelled, only a few had no scent.
After analyzing it carefully, it realized that it was not about the project, but the environment involved.
However, even though there was an efficient selection process, it did not mean that there were no fish that had escaped the net. Therefore, Su Yang would also let his close friends recommend their own projects.
The success rate for this kind of recommendation was much lower, but he could still pick up some from time to time.
Therefore, Su Yang did not really care about Guo Fan’s recommendation. He followed his own procedures and asked Little Deeny to print it out after he received it. He then passed it to Little Hus for it to check.
However, Su Yang did not expect to be stopped by Little Hus before he could even return to the main hall.
Su Yang glared at Little Hus, who was bouncing around with a stack of documents in its arms. “What are you doing? You don’t seem to be taking it seriously at all.”
Little Hus said excitedly, “Su Yang! Su Yang! A fragrance! It’s super fragrant!”
Su Yang glared at it again. “What do you mean super fragrant? How fragrant are you talking about?”
Little Hus said excitedly, “It feels like it’s almost as fragrant as “Wandering Planet” and “Wolf Warriors 2″.”
Su Yang widened his eyes when he heard what Little Hus said. “Really?”
Little Hus hurriedly nodded its head. “Yes, it’s true!”
Su Yang picked up the stack of documents that Little Hus was holding and took a look. The documents were very thick, and the contents were very comprehensive. There was a story outline, a description of someone’s design, and some concepts of a large-scale scenario.
It did look like a good piece of work.
However, when he flipped to the last page and saw the sketch, Su Yang furrowed his brows as he wondered if there was a market for this.
‘You’re telling me that this is even comparable to “Wandering Planet” and “Wolf Warriors 2”?
‘Even though Little Hus has never failed before, this still seems suspicious.’
He looked at the document again, and he felt that this piece of work was indeed very interesting.
‘Although the graphics are a little ugly, perhaps the audience nowadays like this kind of quality?’
Su Yang had many strong points, and the most important one was that he was good at delegating jobs to the right people and would never interfere.
Hence, since Little Hus claimed that this project could make money, Su Yang agreed with it.
In order to show that he valued the director, Su Yang took some time out to meet him. When he met the director, Su Yang thought that he seemed a little familiar. Later on, Little Hus reminded him from the virtual space that this was the person that he met in the elevator!
Hence, Su Yang finally recalled who that person was.
When Little Hus first caught a whiff of this person’s scent, it had recommended him to Su Yang. However, Su Yang had asked around but did not manage to find this person. At that time, he had wanted to give up, so he did not expect that this person would come knocking on his door.
‘This is a huge deal that’s worth billions of yuan. Even the profit on its own is close to 1 billion yuan, which isn’t a small amount by any company’s standards. Even the top few companies in the world valued this project.
Hence, Su Yang had a serious discussion with the director about the collaboration. He invested in the animated film and obtained almost 80% of the shares.
Su Yang’s interest was piqued when he found out that there was another project called “Jiang Ziya”.
However, after looking through the entire plan, Su Yang felt that it was not as good as “Nezha”. However, when Little Hus smelled it, it said that the project had some fragrance as well, so Su Yang invested in it.
Of course, Su Yang would treat the project differently. He had personally taken on the role of the producer, director, and line producer of “Nezha”. As for “Jiang Ziya”, he had merely handed it over to the company. Other than Su Yang being in charge of the special effects, the company would handle everything else.
Su Yang’s differential treatment made the Little Comparer smile.
Initially, when he heard Su Yang praising and that he would be investing in “Nezha”, he had some doubts. He “knew” that Su Yang was a sentimental person, or he wouldn’t have filmed “Wandering Planet” and “Wolf Warriors 2”.
When a person like him found out that he was working on a domestic animation film, he would most likely help. However, this help was not necessarily because he was optimistic about the project. It was just to support a friend who had similar ambitions.
Therefore, he still had no confidence in his “Nezha”.
Yet, who would have thought that Su Yang would have a different reaction after looking at “Jiang Ziya”?
Coupled with the discrimination between the two projects, the Little Comparer immediately understood that Su Yang was really optimistic about his project.
After all, Su Yang was the man with Midas’s hands and divine eyes.
During that period of time, whether it was the internet or the media, there would be discussions about Su Yang’s taste.
In the end, the discussions turned into boasting sessions. They were all boasting about Su Yang’s capability and sharp eyes. As long as he was interested in a project, that project would not fail.
Therefore, if he was interested in this project, it would definitely explode!
This also made the Little Comparer very excited. After all, who wouldn’t want their works to be loved by millions of people!
Who wouldn’t want to be successful!
Even though pursuing one’s dreams was one thing, achieving success was another, if two things could be perfectly combined, who would not want that?
Meanwhile, Su Yang did not think too much. He was just happy that he had picked up another good project.
Then he realized how convenient it was for a company to earn money after gaining fame and influence.
In the past, he had to search for a project. But at that moment, all he needed was to sit and home, while others would keep on sending him project proposals.
Su Yang returned to the virtual space and waited patiently for the system to finish having its point added, which ended up being another day.
On the third day, while Su Yang and Chu Xia were chatting, Su Yang finally heard the voice that he had been waiting for a long time.
‘The upgrade is finally complete!’
Su Yang jumped up from the bed and told Chu Xia that he had something to attend to. Then, he hung up the phone and got out of bed. He patted his face and turned on the system excitedly.
Opening the system interface, the system became even more exquisite. Compared to before, there was a hint of simplicity to it. At a glance, it felt like one could not look away. Compared to before, it was as if it had just undergone a complete transformation.
If the upgraded system had reached the level of a standalone game, then it had reached the level of an AAA game…
