Chapter 339 The Crisis of the Vermin
“Can we leave now?” A Miao asked.
She was not as nervous as the others. In contrast, she was quite relaxed.
“You can go home.” Le Yi reminded Shen Xinglan and said, “Just as Ling Lang said, A Miao can’t be alone. You should stay with her especially when she goes out.”
Shen Xinglan knew that without Le Yi’s telling him. How he wished he could tie A Miao to him all the time.
In the house, Yu Sihan looked at Chu Bai with a disgusted expression.
“Chu Bai, this is yours!” Yaya was playing a role-playing game. She was the mother and Chu Bai was the father.
Yu Sihan… was the child.
“Why does Yaya make me take the role of the child?” he asked in the beginning.
.
Yaya said, “Because I like you!”
So Yu Sihan willingly took the role of the son. His subordinates did not act surprised. It was horrible enough that he was willing to play the game with them, let alone take the role of the son.
When Shen Xinglan and the others came back, Yu Sihan was holding a bowl and pretending to eat.
“Is it delicious?” Yaya asked him benignantly and used a handkerchief to wipe his mouth.
Yu Sihan nodded. “Yaya’s fish is delicious.”
“You should call me mom.” Yaya corrected him.
Yu Sihan was stunned and did not know what to say. When he raised his head and saw Shen Xinglan, he immediately changed the topic.
“Look who is back.”
Yaya turned her head and then ran to Shen Xinglan.
“Mom!” She knew that she could not pounce on A Miao, so she stopped in front of her and said, “Are you okay?”
Since the last time when Yu Sihan told her that her mom would wake up if she counted to 10 and her mom really woke up, Yaya believed him. So when A Miao fainted and was sent to the hospital, Yaya believed that her mother would be fine because Yu Sihan told her so.
“I am fine!” A Miao sat down and held Yaya in her arms.
Shen Xinglan said to Yu Sihan coldly, “Come with me.”
Yu Sihan gave Yaya a smile and followed Shen Xinglan into the study.
“Mom?” Yaya raised her head.
A Miao touched her hands gently and said, “It’s nothing, let’s go have a meal.”
Ling Lang glanced at her and whispered, “You should tell Yaya the truth. Otherwise, she will be scared when you faint next time.”
“She will go to kindergarten very soon and she will not be at home during the day.” A Miao asked after thinking for a while, “Is Chu Bai in kindergarten now?”
“Yes, the place is close to our villas.” Ling Lang said, “Yaya can go to his class. I will ask the teacher tomorrow.”
A Miao nodded. “Well, it is more convenient.”
When they were ready for the meal, Shen Xinglan and Yu Sihan came out.
“Are you all right?” A Miao looked at Shen Xinglan.
Shen Xinglan helped her sit down and said, “I am fine.”
“Hanhan?” Yaya called him when she saw him going out.
Yu Sihan turned his head and gave her a smile. “I have something to do. Yaya, I will come to see you later.”
When he left, A Miao nudged Shen Xinglan and asked, “Did you hit him?”
“Yes.”
The villa of Yu Sihan was not far away. When he came back, he took off his shirt.
“Young Master!” The subordinates behind him could not help saying, “How can you…”
There was a fist-sized bruise on his shoulder. Obviously, he had been hit.
“I didn’t want to dodge it.” He looked in the mirror and then leaned on the couch angrily.
Another subordinate hurried out and led a man in.
“It does not hurt badly, but the bruise needs some time to fade.” The man was the doctor of Yu Sihan. He put some ointment on the bruise carefully.
His subordinates knew he valued his body and hated wounds, so they were surprised that he did not dodge that punch.
“When A Miao was pregnant, she fainted suddenly. Maybe it was caused by the vermin.” After applying medication, Yu Sihan changed his clothes and rubbed his forehead, leaning on the couch. “Check on it and find out if there is a way to solve it.”
Shen Xinglan angrily told him that if something happened to A Miao, he would kill him. Even if he threatened him with Yaya, he would rather give up his daughter than spare him.
Yu Sihan believed him. Shen Xinglan took A Miao as his own life. If something really happened to A Miao, their cooperation would be broken.
“Young Master…” One of his subordinates plucked up the courage to suggest, “Now that Mrs. Shen is ill, we can take the opportunity to ask Miss Yaya to come here.”
Yu Sihan raised his eyebrows and his mouth curved into a smile slowly. “Good suggestion. I will remember your contribution.”
The next day, Yu Sihan went to meet A Miao.
“What are you talking about?” A Miao thought there was something wrong with her ears.
“I mean you should let Yaya live with me for a while, and you can pick her up when you get better.”
Shen Xinglan stared at him as if he was a fool.
“Yu Sihan, are you not awake?” A Miao wanted to touch his forehead to see if he had a fever.
Yu Sihan didn’t think there was any problem. “I am not kidding. Even if you are protected so well, you still cannot guarantee that you will never faint. If you faint too many times, what about Yaya?”
“I…” A Miao did not know how to refute him.
Shen Xinglan took her hand and shook his head.
“With all due respect, you cannot be so selfish. You ignored Yaya’s feelings for the baby in your belly.”
“Shut up.” Shen Xinglan’s face darkened.
A Miao’s eyes became red. If Yu Sihan did not say that, she would not think it was so serious, but now…
“Just ignore him.” Shen Xinglan hugged her to comfort her. “He wants to take Yaya away.”
Yu Sihan smiled and said, “You are right. That is my intention, but what I just said is true.”
“But I can’t let Yaya leave me again.” A Miao shook her head. “She must live with her parents.”
Yu Sihan frowned, and his beautiful face twisted in anger. At last, he took a deep breath and said, “All right, I have a suggestion.”
Yaya went to kindergarten today. Chu Bai went along with her, so no one worried that she would not be used to it. What’s more, Yaya had gone to school in Jingcheng City before.
When Ling Lang brought Yaya back, she found that the atmosphere in the house was tense.
“Let’s go back. I will pick up Yaya tomorrow morning.” She greeted everyone and wanted to leave.
Yu Sihan said, “No, you don’t need to. I will do it tomorrow.”
Ling Lang looked at A Miao, and A Miao nodded.
“All right. After I take Chu Bai to school, I will come here to chat with you.” She smiled and took Chu Bai away. He was still shouting that he did not want to leave and he wanted to stay with Yaya.
Yu Sihan stared at the stout back of Chu Bai and felt that he should find a chance to keep him away from Yaya.
“Yaya, are you willing to go to his house after school every day?” Shen Xinglan asked reluctantly.
Yaya looked at Yu Sihan and said, “You mean go to Hanhan’s house?”
“Yeah.” Yu Sihan moved Shen Xinglan’s hands away and held Yaya in his arms. “Your mom is sick, so we cannot trouble her. So starting tomorrow, I will come here and take Yaya to kindergarten every day. ”
“I will pick you up after school and bring you back when it’s time to sleep.”
Yaya was happy to hear that she could come back and sleep with her mom and dad. She nodded in delight. “Okay! I would like to.”
“Yaya…” A Miao had mixed emotions in her heart.
Shen Xinglan knew that she grudged parting with Yaya, but considering it carefully, Yaya would be absent for only two hours in the evening. Then he thought of her body and looked at Yu Sihan, who should be blamed for it.
“You should bring Yaya back at 9 o’clock every day, or you can never see her again.”
Yu Sihan had reached his goal and left breezily. Yaya and the little bear were going to play with building blocks. A Miao held Shen Xinglan’s hands and complained.
“He wants Yaya all the time. Doesn’t he intend to dig the vermin out?”
When A Miao thought of this, she panicked. She didn’t know what his intention was. In short, he was not going to help them, just like the way he had treated her before.
“Don’t worry!” Shen Xinglan patted her back and comforted her. “I told you that he could do nothing before Yaya grows up.”
Shen Xinglan didn’t know why he was so good to Yaya, but he would know why very soon.
On the weekend, Wei Meng and Ding V came back.
“Do you have any clues?” Everyone was sitting in the living room. A Miao could not wait and just asked her directly.
Wei Meng’ face was expressionless and she looked at A Miao. “We cannot get rid of the vermin.”
“Don’t you have any method?” A Miao seemed to cry out. Ling Lang patted Wei Meng’s shoulder and said, “Say it all at once.”
Wei Meng took out a pile of ragged paper from her bag. The paper was yellowed and had a strange odor. Obviously, it existed a long time ago.
“We found some information about the Mother-child Vermin.” Wei Meng put the paper on the table, and its characters were all in traditional Chinese.
Shen Xinglan picked up a piece. The vermin painted on it was exactly like the one that had been taken out of A Miao’s body.
“Its full name is the Mother-child Yin-yang Vermin for an Affectionate Couple.” Wei Meng told them a name that sounded very dramatic.
A Miao sadly looked at it and said, “What is the impact on Yaya if we can’t get rid of the vermin?”
“Actually… the impact can be big or small.” Wei Meng looked at everyone and said, “Just as its name implies, the vermin was for an affectionate couple in the beginning.”
One held the mother vermin, the other held the child vermin. They would attract each other, even if there was no love between them. In the end, they could not leave each other.
“But it is not true love.” A Miao thought it was unreasonable.
“As long as they can’t leave each other, this can be called true love for the one who plants the vermin.” Wei Meng continued to say, “But later on, someone re-cultivated it and added yin-yang in its name.”
Le Yi was reading these manuscripts. Suddenly, he raised his head and cut in. “The mother vermin can seduce the child vermin to go out, and the person can be free.”
“Yu Sihan can do it!” A Miao shouted in surprise.
Wei Meng shook his head and said, “If the child vermin is seduced by the mother vermin, it will desperately bite the person and leave the body. Yaya is too young to suffer it.”
The point was that no one knew where the child vermin would go out. The heart? Or the brain? If it bit anywhere, there was nothing one could do except die.
