Chapter 1703: I Will be There in Five Days
Jiang Yi had indeed activated the double-pressure restrictions. He was frustrated by Yun Bing. Each time she came back from a mission, she would make one round around his residence. She would not speak too much as well, apart from making a few meaningless statements.
Jiang Yi could tell what she was up to. She was trying to dig information out of him. As long as he did not tell her the truth, she would continue to annoy him and disturb his cultivation. Thus, he made up his mind not to show any regard for her. He activated the double-pressure restrictions. After all, he guessed that Yun Bing would not use all her energy to break down the door.
Yun Bing came one more time subsequently. When she saw that Jiang Yi had set up the double-pressure restrictions, she understood that she would no longer be able to dig any more information out from him. Her pride seemed to be quite hurt. She did not come looking for him again.
While he was cultivating, he did not take note of how much time passed. Jiang Yi swallowed a couple of energy elixirs and did not feel hungry or thirsty at all. He kept cultivating his heavenly powers and replenishing the energy in his body, focusing all his attention on realizing the Quintessence. Whenever he felt exhausted, he would lie down to take a nap. Once he woke up, he would continue cultivating.
His progress in cultivating his heavenly powers in the secret cultivation room was too quick. What’s more, he had the divine tree leaf to speed things up even further. In fact, Jiang Yi was using this to forget about everything else in the world. He did not want to think about what was happening in the Earth Domain. He did not want to think about Yi Chan, Yin Ruobing, Su Ruoxue, or Yi Piaopiao.
This time, his enemy was too strong and too powerful. His life would be in jeopardy the moment he left Flying Feather Command.
He did not want to stay here for his entire life. He had to become stronger; he had to become so strong that the Dao Clan could not do anything to him and Dao Nu could not even kill him. Someone like the Azure Supreme Thearch would not come out against a young man in the open, would he?
The tallest buildings were built from the bottom!
If Jiang Yi wanted to become so strong that Dao Nu would not be able to kill him, he had to cultivate step-by-step. He had to get his foundations right first before breaking through to become a King-Ranked martial artist.
He wanted to realize the divine patterns on the acupoints and understand the real Mighty God Technique. However, while this could help him become stronger in a short time, it was not the way of a true expert. Without a good foundation, he would not be able to develop other aspects of his battle abilities. He would not be able to fight a Pseudo Thearch-Ranked martial artist like that.
He had already been in seclusion for three months. Twenty years had already gone by in the Lower Domain. He was prepared to remain in seclusion until he realized the Quintessence, and his heavenly powers had been trained to the full. He would not emerge before he became a King-Ranked martial artist.
…
The Dao Clan could not do anything about it but wait bitterly. Not only that, but they also had to keep sending people to clean out the Longtan Mystic Realm of Netherworld Race beings. They needed to ensure that the Phantom King and the other Sovereigns did not die. This caused Dao Nù to be so frustrated that he wanted to cough up blood. If this was allowed to continue, Heavenly King Wei and the others would likely find about the situation in the Longtan Mystic Realm. Then, the Dao Clan would have wasted all that effort for nothing.
Four months, five months!
The Dao Clan had already lost more than a hundred thousand martial artists in the Longtan Mystic Realm. There was no way they could hide the situation any longer. After all, the Dao Clan had been sending people there consistently. It was not their style. That was what the various powers realized as well.
“Seal the mystic realm!”
Things had already come to this. Dao Nù could not back away anymore. The Azure Supreme Thearch had given orders for them to snatch the sword from Jiang Yi. What else could he do? What’s more, he had already activated so many people and allowed so many clansmen to die in the mystic realm. How could he give up at this point?
The Dao Clan’s army was activated to surround the Longtan Mystic Realm. Nobody was allowed near there. To outsiders, Dao Nù announced that the Dao Clan’s army was fighting a war against the Netherworld Race beings inside and sustained severe losses because of it. He was prepared to allow the Dao Clan to fight the battle alone in order to take revenge. They were going to fight the Netherworld Race beings in the mystic realm to the death.
Even fools would not buy an explanation like that. Many private investigators were sent to investigate what exactly the Dao Clan was up to. However, Dao Nù was very good at keeping the entire mission under wraps. Few people knew the truth behind the matter, and these people were instructed not to let a single detail leak.
What’s more…
Dao Nù was quite intelligent. He sent people to spread rumors on purpose. For example, it was said that the Dao Clan discovered a treasure in the Longtan Mystic Realm and that their explanation for what was happening in the mystic realm was a hoax. Instead, they had an ulterior motive and were up to something huge. Another story was that the Dao Clan had found some ancient remains somewhere and was purposely drawing everyone’s attention to the Longtan Mystic Realm so that they could follow the clues and obtain treasures for themselves.
Within such a short period, many rumors had been scattered around. Dao Nù frequently sent men from the Dao Clan all around the world to draw the attention of the various powers. The entire Heaven Primordial Domain became confused as to what exactly the Dao Clan was up to.
A month later, they received the good news that caused Dao Nù and the others to almost cry for joy: Jiang Yi was finally out of seclusion!
In this one month, Dao Nù had nearly gone insane. Countless soldiers from the Dao Clan had been activated to put on a good show. The entire world was being sent on a wild goose chase. Their own people were about to faint from the work.
If Jiang Yi still did not surface after a while, they were prepared to give up. After all, nobody knew when Jiang Yi would emerge. What if he remained in seclusion for tens of years? The Dao Clan was not going to run all over the place during the entire duration.
Although Jiang Yi was out, the spies of the Dao Clan did not contact him immediately. When he emerged, a Senior Commander happened to be present. The spies did not dare to send voice transmissions for fear that they would be exposed. Jiang Yi, on the other hand, went straight to the Senior Commander and asked to make a trip to the Primitive Mystic Realm.
The army had a Teleportation Formation that led straight to the Primitive Mystic Realm. Since Jiang Yi had Heavenly King Wei’s command token, he could go into the mystic realm three times each year at no charge. Without any hesitation, the Senior Commander led Jiang Yi to the Teleportation Formation. The spies had no choice but to watch him leave.
The good thing was one would only be allowed to remain in the Primitive Mystic Realm for three days. The Dao Clan could wait that long.
Three days later, the spies kept their eyes peeled, waiting for Jiang Yi to return. However, he did not appear. After searching and asking around, the spies found out that after Jiang Yi teleported out of the Primitive Mystic Realm, he went right in once again.
Three days passed again, but Jiang Yi still did not emerge. The spies who were keeping watch outside were close to tears; Dao Nù and the others were still waiting for their good news. It was obvious that Jiang Yi had gone into the Primitive Mystic Realm once again.
Nine days later, Jiang Yi finally emerged!
Once the spies found the opportunity, they sent a secret voice transmission to Jiang Yi: “Jiang Yi, the Earth Emanations Sovereign, the Phantom King, and the Wintry Sovereign are all trapped in the Longtan Mystic Realm. If you want to rescue them, go there alone. You must get there in three days, and you cannot tell anyone about this. Otherwise, be prepared to keep their corpses!”
Jiang Yi wanted to enter his own secret cultivation room again, but he suddenly paused. His cool gaze suddenly landed on the spy. He was silent for two seconds before he waved his hands and said, “You! Come with me. I want to speak to you.”
The spy stiffened but recovered almost immediately. He fearfully cupped his hands and said, “Staff Captain Jiang, what instructions do you have for me?”
“Come in, and I’ll tell you!”
Jiang Yi walked right into his secret cultivation room. The spy gritted his teeth and followed him in. Jiang Yi’s men were in the Dao Clan’s hands; he probably would not kill him, right?
The other guards looked at the spy and the room curiously. They secretly wondered if Jiang Yi was a homosexual. Why else would he ask another man to enter his room?
Buzz!
Once they entered the room, Jiang Yi activated the restrictions. Without saying a word, he gazed at the spy for a full five minutes until the hairs on the back of the spy’s neck stood up. Then, he finally said, “You are from the Dao Clan, aren’t you? Tell Dao Nù to stop playing these games with me. I will not believe him at all. If he wants to take revenge, he can come to Flying Feather Command to kill me!”
Buzz!
A seal stone appeared in the spy’s hand, and he tossed it to Jiang Yi. “Jiang Yi, see for yourself!”
Jiang Yi caught the seal stone and sent his heavenly powers in. A scene appeared in midair. It showed the bottom of a water body where the three men were tied in chains. All around them stood soldiers from the Dao Clan. Jiang Yi saw someone else familiar in the seal stone: the Young Master of the Dao Clan, Dao Ren!
Jiang Yi’s eyes turned ice-cold once again. Without saying anything, he glared at the spy and pondered in silence for another five minutes. Then, he said, “Tell Dao Nù that I will be there in five days. I will not tell anyone about this. However… if anything untoward happens to any one of them, I will spread this throughout the world. Heavenly King Wei and the other Supreme Thearchs to do justice on my behalf!”
