Chapter 323 Who Leaked Their Whereabouts?
Han Siqi embraces Fu Zhengzheng and says suddenly, “Darling, each time you were in danger, Fu Wenhai always appeared in time. It makes me jealous as your husband.”
Fu Zhengzheng pokes Han Siqi’s forehead at once, “We’ve agreed that we would trust each other, haven’t we? Why are you jealous again?”
“I’m only jealous.”
“It has the same meaning.” Fu Zhengzheng criticizes him affectionately, “What are you jealous about? He rescued me because of you, right? Besides, he didn’t only rescue me today.”
Han Siqi says as if deep in thought, “Today he appeared in Lingshan Nunnery and rescued us for three times. Don’t you think it’s too coincidental?”
What Han Siqi said makes Fu Zhengzheng astonished. She looks at Han Siqi with confusing eyes.
“Did you tell him we would go to Lingshan Nunnery at the weekend?”
Han Siqi shakes his head, “I’ve never told it to anyone. But now that Yu Xiaolong could know it, it’s not strange that Fu Wenhai could know it too.”
“Yu Xiaolong hates me and wants to kill me because of Li Ming and his daughter, but Mr. Fu has rescued us.”
“Everyone knows you have the trap map of the coffer. Now they haven’t got the map. For those that want to get the coffer, you can’t be endangered in any case, or who will they turn to for the map?”
“Do you think Mr. Fu rescued me for the trap map of the coffer too?” Fu Zhengzheng meditates and then shakes her head, “What happened today was indeed coincidental. But Mr. Fu often visits Lingshan Nunnery. Besides, today is the weekend. He went to the nunnery to pray and crashed your car carelessly. Then he went to apologize to you and talked with you about repairing the car. None of these seemed to be unreasonable.”
“I hope it’s only coincidental.”
Hearing that, Fu Zhengzheng doesn’t say more. She just bends over Han Siqi’s chest, lost in her fanciful thoughts.
When she just knew Fu Wenhai, she was suspicious of him. Yang Tao investigated Fu Wenhai’s background. According to the investigation result, Fu Wenhai is only a shrewd businessman. He has helped and rescued her for several times, but his appearance seems to be reasonable each time. Especially his respectful attitude towards Han Siqi gives her a feeling that he only wants to make more money under Han Siqi by helping her. She has no private friendship with Fu Wenhai.
What’s more, Fu Wenhai is always gentle and cultivated and looks like a typical businessman. She really doesn’t want to relate him to those guys with ulterior motives.
It should merely be coincidental.
Fu Zhengzheng thinks like this in her heart.
No, she can’t take anything lightly. Nor can she be deceived by the appearance of someone and something.
Yang Tao and Muxian have told her that anyone around her may aim at the trap map of the coffer.
But she has known Fu Wenhai for a long time. She doesn’t think he is so sophisticated.
Fu Zhengzheng’s mind is in a mess.
She pats her head and curls into the bed.
Stop thinking. Have a good sleep. Sort out the thoughts when the mind clears.
Han Siqi thinks Fu Zhengzheng is tired. He tucks her in and then rises.
When Fu Zhengzheng sees him putting on clothes, she rises immediately and asks, “Where are you going?”
“I’ll go to my brother’s house.”
“What’s up?”
Han Siqi presses her into the bed, “Tell him about the car so that he is psychologically prepared. Otherwise, if parents see me change a new car, they will think that something happened to me and thus feeling worried.”
Fu Zhengzheng nods. After Han Siqi leaves, she closes her eyes slowly.
Although she lies down, her mind doesn’t stop. She tosses and turns on the bed for quite a while.
When she is about to fall asleep, her phone rings. She rises immediately and finds the call is from Li Yin, so she connects it at once.
“Zhengzheng, have you been back from Lingshan Nunnery?”
Fu Zhengzheng is surprised and answers, “Yes.”
How does Li Yin know she has been to Lingshan Nunnery?
“Have you got the talismans?”
“Yeah.”
Li Yin smiles, “Great. How about coming here for dinner tomorrow evening and taking the talisman to me?”
Then Fu Zhenghzheng recalls that Li Yin called her the day before yesterday and invited her to go to the fruit shop with Fu Xing on Sunday. She mentioned unintentionally that she would go to Lingshan Nunnery for a talisman. Li Yin asked her to pray for one for her unborn baby too, hoping that he can be born sound and healthy.
Thinking of it, Fu Zhengzheng’s heart sinks: Did Li Yin leak her trip to Lingshan Nunnery?
How can Li Yin betray her?
She doesn’t believe.
Finding Fu Zhengzheng silent for quite a while, Li Yin thinks she is busy, so she corrects herself, “I’ll go to fetch it from you tomorrow.”
Then Fu Zhengzheng brings her attention back and says apologetically, “Li Yin, sorry. Something happened to me in the nunnery. I went down the mountain in haste and forgot it.”
Li Yin says immediately, “It doesn’t matter. I asked about it casually. I don’t believe it. By the way, what happened to you? Are you OK?”
“I’m OK, but my car rear-ended another one.”
“Ah? Are you hurt?” Li Yin’s voice is full of care.
“No.”
“Great. Be careful when you drive outside. Each time my cousin rides the electric bicycle, I will tell her repeatedly.”
Hearing her cousin, Lin Jiao’s name springs to Fu Zhengzheng’s mind. She pauses a little and then asks tentatively, “Li Yin, did you tell your cousin that I would pray for a talisman for your baby?”
“Yes, but don’t take it to heart. My cousin doesn’t believe it either. She won’t say anything about it.”
Fu Zhengzheng realizes something suddenly. But she knows Li Yin is kind and simple, so she doesn’t tell her more and just says smilingly, “I’ll pray for a talisman for your baby when I go to Lingshan Nunnery next time to redeem my vow to Buddha.”
“Great.”
Fu Zhengzheng hangs up Li Yin’s call and then half sits in a daze.
She only told Tian Xin, Sun Qiubo and Li Yin that she would go to Lingshan Nunnery. Even Lin Xiaoyue and Han Siqi’s parents don’t know that. She suspects that Lin Jiao leaked the news to Yu Xiaolong.
Although she can’t figure out how Lin Jiao colluded with Yu Xiaolong who was just released from the prison, she called Yang Tao, “Yu Xiaolong must have known I would go to Lingshan Nunnery in advance, so he arranged so many traps for me. I suspect it’s Lin Jiao that leaked the news to Yu Xiaolong.”
She tells Yang Tao her conversation with Lin Yin on the phone.
Hearing that, Yang Tao says at once, “We just told Yu Xiaolong the mystery of Li Xiaomeng’s death. He has known you have nothing to do with Li Xiaomeng’s death. He confessed everything that happened in Lingshan Nunnery. But when asked who told him the news, he couldn’t answer clearly. He only said he received an anonymous call suddenly on the night of the day before yesterday. He was told that you would go to Lingshan Nunnery on Sunday morning. A device was used to distort the voice on the phone, so he couldn’t tell whether it’s a man or a woman. According to your guess, it’s reasonable for us to suspect the one making the anonymous call was Lin Jiao. But what is her motive?”
“Motive…Is it because what happened half a year ago? But I didn’t make her awkward for it at that time.”
Yang Tao says at once, “You didn’t, but Fu Wenhai broke up with her because of that.”
Fu Wenhai is involved again. Fu Zhengzheng’s heart sinks suddenly.
Yang Tao seems to think for a while and then continues slowly, “In fact, even if you were not involved, Fu Wenhai would discard her sooner or later. She was Fu Wenhai’s mistress at most. But perhaps she loves Fu Wenhai deeply. After crossed in love, she needs a target to give vent to her grievance, so she abreacts the hatred of being discarded to you. Is that possible?”
Yang Tao says with uncertainty.
Fu Zhengzheng meditates and agrees with Yang Tao to a certain degree, “Li Yin told me Lin Jiao didn’t look for a boyfriend after she broke up with Fu Wenhai. Perhaps that’s because she can’t forget him. But I didn’t ask Fu Wenhai to break up with her. She should look for the reason from herself. Is she hateful enough to kill me?”
Suddenly she recalls that in the fruit shop the other day, it was Lin Jiao that gave her grapes and cooked salt and pepper shrimps for her. She suspects Lin Jiao wanted to harm her deliberately by means of antagonistic food.
“The motive is indeed not convictive enough, but we are just suspicious of Lin Jiao, aren’t we? I’ll interrogate Yu Xiaolong again to see if any information is omitted. I’ll call you if there is progress.” Then Yang Tao hangs up the phone.
Before Fu Zhengzheng puts down her phone, Yang Tao calls her back, “Zhengzheng, before we make a correct judgement about Lin Jiao, you’d better not contact her in case something serious happens.”
“I got it.”
“Your identity as an undercover agent has been exposed. Besides, all people know that you have the trap map. You are in double danger now, so you must be very cautious. If there is something wrong, you must tell me in time.”
“I will.”
Fu Zhengzheng puts down the phone and exhales.
Yu Xiaolong gets her into trouble because of Li Ming and his daughter. Lin Jiao does this because of Fu Wenhai. Many people that aim at the trap map of the coffer are hiding behind her and haven’t taken real actions. There is no way to guard against them absolutely.
Suddenly she feels unable to do as good as she wishes.
Ten-Mile Sunshine Resort is very safe. Many men are hiding in it under Han Siqi’s order. But the whole family can’t stay inside forever.
Fu Xing!
Fu Zhengzheng’s heart misses a beat.
She has visited the kindergarten. Kids’ security is ensured. But it’s over ten-minute drive from the kindergarten to Ten-Mile Sunshine Resort. Although Wan Zhenghua and some bodyguards take him to and from the kindergarten every day, she still feels worried.
After thinking for a while, she plans to call Han Siqi and tells him to arrange more men to protect Fu Xing.
When she is about to dial his number, Xiaoxiao runs in suddenly and shouts aloud, “Aunt, my brother Xingxing is missing!”
