Chapter 320 The Car has been Tampered with
When the senior nun says a good person deserves a good ending, Fu Zhengzheng looks up at Fu Wenhai at once, but he is gone. She is confused. At this moment, Han Siqi’s phone rings.
The call is from Fu Wenhai.
“Mr. Han, the insurance company and the 4S dealership have sent workers here. Could you please come to the parking lot?”
“OK.”
Han Siqi hangs up the phone and walks to the parking lot fast. Fu Zhengzheng and Lu Song follow him hurriedly.
Some people are standing around Han Siqi’s car, including Fu Wenhai.
Fu Wenhai raises his head and sees Han Siqi. He points to Han Siqi’s car and says, “Mr. Han, your car has been crashed like this. It’s not safe to drive it. How about asking the worker to drive it to the 4S dealership for repair? I’ll arrange for another car to drive you down the mountain.”
Hearing that, Lu Song breaks in, “Mr. Han, the road at the foot of the mountain has been cleared. Tu Wei and other buddies can drive up soon.”
Han Siqi nods slightly and throws the key to a young man standing beside his car. Then he turns around and tells Fu Wenhai, “We’d like to hang around in the nunnery. You can go down the mountain first.”
Fu Wenhai smiles, “OK.”
Then he asks others to leave with him.
After other cars run away, Fu Zhengzheng still stares at Han Siqi’s car which is running behind others. She can’t help sighing.
“Luckily, we were not in the car.”
Han Siqi doesn’t respond and just looks at the fleet, deep in thought.
Lu Song walks to Han Siqi in fright and lowers his head, “Mr. Han, sorry. We are late and make you scared.”
Fu Zhengzheng feels strange and asks, “The road at the foot was blocked. You don’t know the other way up the mountain. How did you come up?”
“We ran up the mountain.”
“Oh, no wonder. You must be exhausted.”
Lu Song waves anxiously, “No, we are not. So long as you are fine, I’m relieved.”
Finding that Han Siqi ignores him, he takes a few steps backward and stands with other buddies, with their heads lowered.
Then Yang Tao and the senior nun helped by the middle-aged nun come out of the nunnery.
Finding that Han Siqi’s car has disappeared from the parking lot, Yang Tao asks, “Mr. Han, where is your car? Why is it crashed like that?”
Han Siqi responds, “A friend crashed it carelessly when he parked his car. It has been driven away by a worker of the 4S dealership.”
“Oh.” Yang Tao points to his car, “Let me drive you down the mountain, OK?”
“No, thank you. Someone will come to pick us up soon.”
Yang Tao smiles and doesn’t insist, “Well, then I’ll go down the mountain first.”
“Hey!”
Fu Zhengzheng wants to hold him back. Yang Tao knows what she wants to say and nods, “I’ll tell you the result after the interrogation.”
Then he drives off.
The senior nun walks up, makes a bow with hands put in front and says slowly, “I’m wondering if you still have the interest tasting tea in the nunnery?”
Fu Zhengzheng is about to open her mouth, but Han Siqi erects his forefinger to his lips suddenly, signaling her to keep silent.
Fu Zhengzheng bits her lip at once and leans to listen to the sound around her.
“Siqi, what’s up?” Fu Zhengzheng doesn’t hear any strange sound.
Han Siqi frowns and says, “I vaguely heard something.”
Lu Song echoes, “So did I. It might be a crash.”
Han Siqi walks to the guard bar in haste. Looking around, he doesn’t see anting strange.
Fu Zhengzheng’s face changes suddenly. She takes out the phone from Han Siqi’s pocket and calls Yang Tao.
According to the voice prompt, the line is busy.
Seeing Fu Zhengzheng’s forehead sweaty, Han Siqi takes the phone quickly to hear what’s said inside.
Fu Zhengzheng’s mouth feels dry. She asks in a trembling voice, “Did something happen to Yang Tao?”
Han Siqi listens to the voice saying repeatedly that the line is busy and shakes his head to negate, “Maybe not.”
“Perhaps he has had an accident and is calling for help.”
Then Fu Zhengzheng runs towards the mountain path.
“Zhengzheng! Don’t be anxious.” Han Siqi follows her immediately.
When they just run to the memorial gateway of Lingshan Nunnery, two business purpose vehicles run to them.
Lu Song who runs after them shouts at once, “These are our vehicles.”
Han Siqi stands aside with Fu Zhengzheng and the business purpose vehicles stop by them soon.
Fu Zhengzheng hurries to ask worriedly, “Did you see a police car on the way?”
Two drivers of the business purpose vehicles switch off the vehicles quickly and jump down. The driver jumps down first replies, “I saw it. We gave way to it.”
“Was there something wrong with it?”
“Something wrong?” The two drivers look at each other and then shake their heads simultaneously, “Nothing seemed wrong.”
At this moment, Han Siqi’s phone rings again.
Fu Zhengzheng cranes her neck immediately and sees the call is from Fu Wenhai. She feels disappointed.
“Mr. Han, are you all right?” Fu Wenhai asks in panic.
“Yes. What’s wrong?”
“Your car is gone.”
“What?”
“Your car just fell from the cliff and might be scrapped.”
Han Siqi’s face changes abruptly, “What happened on earth?”
“The young man that drove your car said that he found there was something wrong with the brakes of your car before he had driven it far. It might be tampered with. Luckily, he was careful in driving and drove it slowly. He jumped off it before the car fell from the cliff. But he was hurt seriously. We’re taking him to hospital. Mr. Han, luckily, you were not driving the car. You know, there is a downward slope and the car will run faster and faster. The consequence can’t be imagined.”
Han Siqi can’t help gasping.
Fu Zhengzheng sees Han Siqi’s face abnormal and asks in panic, “What happened?”
“The brakes of the car didn’t work, and the car fell into the valley.”
“My God. What about the driver?”
“He jumped off the car before the car fell from the cliff and was hurt seriously.”
Hearing that, the senior nun who has come over, puts her palms together devoutly and prays, “Amitabha.”
Fu Zhengzheng strokes her chest lightly and puts her palms together as the senior nun does, “It doesn’t matter that the car is gone. Luckily no one died. I was scared. I only hope everyone is fine.”
Then Yang Tao calls Han Siqi back, saying Han Siqi’s car had an accident and telling him to be careful. Han Siqi responds and then hangs up the phone.
Lu Song talks to himself, “It seems that the sound Mr. Han and I heard just now was produced when the car fell from the cliff.”
Han Siqi holds Fu Zhengzheng’s hand tightly and frowns, “From the Happy Reunion Stone to the poisonous tea and the car that was tampered with, each step was planned to kill us.”
Fu Zhengzheng says with lingering fear, “If Mr. Fu hadn’t crashed our car carelessly and come to tell us specially, I’m afraid we couldn’t have escaped the disaster.”
The senior nun interrupts at once, “Both of you and Mr. Fu are kind and deserve a good ending.”
Fu Zhengzheng asks, “Madam, Do you know Mr. Fu as well?”
The senior nun nods, “Mr. Fu is a frequent visitor of the nunnery and almost comes here every week. He often donates money to the nunnery.”
“No wonder he is so familiar with everything here.”
Han Siqi breaks in, “Nun, when did the ruffians come here?”
The middle-aged nun answers first indignantly, “Before the day broke today, someone knocked on the door. We thought they were pilgrims that came here early and ushered them in kindly. Unexpectedly, once entering, they caught my master and me. They also controlled my sisters in the nunnery and required us to do what they would order. Otherwise, they would kill all of us and set fire to Lingshan Nunnery.”
The senior nun begins to chant sutras.
The middle-aged nun adds, “The master found those men had evil intentions, so she didn’t agree. Later, the bald man said they wouldn’t harm you. So long as we helped them catch you and they asked you something, they would let you go. Then my master agreed.”
At last, the middle-aged nun apologizes, “Sorry, I didn’t know they would treat you so cruelly, or I wouldn’t persuade you to drink the tea collected before the Qingming Festival. Luckily, you were clever and found something strange, so you didn’t drink the tea. Otherwise, we would be sinful.”
Fu Zhengzheng waves immediately, “It’s not your fault. Besides, the senior nun repeatedly reminded us of leaving Lingshan Nunnery.”
After the business purpose vehicles take a turn, the senior nun knows they will leave. She bows with hands put in front again and says kindly, “Welcome to the nunnery again to taste the tea collected before Grain Rain.”
“Thank you, we will.” Fu Zhengzheng smiles and waves at the two nuns. Lu Song has opened the vehicle. She gets into it. Then Han Siqi gets into it too and sits by her.
After other men get into the front business purpose vehicle, Lu Song sits onto the front seat of the same vehicle with Han Siqi.
On the way, Han Siqi asks suddenly, “Who else knows our outing?”
Lu Song turns around instantly, “Mr. Han, only I know it. Other buddies didn’t know where we would go just now. They listened to my direction.”
Han Siqi falls into silence. He looks at Fu Zhengzheng and leans against the back as if deep in thought.
Fu Zhengzheng holds his hand, looks at him and asks, “Siqi, are you OK?”
Han Siqi twists his head to look at her and then embraces her into his arms.
He smiles, but she looks angry, “You knew clearly there was an ambush behind the main hall. Why did you insist on walking there instead of looking at my wink?”
Lu Song looks back again to explain, “Before entering the main hall, Mr. Han had called me. At that time, I had arrived at the memorial gateway of Lingshan Nunnery, and the call between our phones was maintained, so we knew where you were.”
Then Fu Zhengzheng realizes why Han Siqi spoke so abruptly and loudly when they walked to the meditation abodes from the main hall.
Han Siqi smiles, “In fact, Yang Tao called me and told us to be careful when we were at the Happy Reunion Stone. He said a pilgrim to Lingshan Nunnery called the police and said there was something wrong in the nunnery. He said they would arrive soon.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Even if I told you, would you wait for them before entering the meditation abodes at the back?”
Hearing that, Fu Zhengzheng smiles. She found something was wrong in the main hall from the facial expression of the senior nun and the middle-aged nun. If she left with Han Siqi at that time, those ruffians wouldn’t let off the nuns. Therefore, after hesitation, she entered the rear room.
Recalling Han Siqi’s bravery in fighting against the ruffians, Fu Zhengzheng has another question, “You didn’t use to be so skilled in Kung Fu, did you?”
Han Siqi holds her into his arms again, “If I don’t improve my skills, how can I protect you?”
It makes Fu Zhengzheng warm in the heart. She rests her head on his shoulder and smiles sweetly.
Actually, she has many doubts in heart, but she knows they are not suitable to be discussed here.
After eating something out, they return to Ten-Mile Sunshine Resort. Before they go through the gate, a woman rushes towards Fu Zhengzheng…
