Chapter 301 Do Serious Business First
Fu Xing greets Fu Wenhai and stares at him for quite a while. Then he says suddenly: “Uncle Fu, I’ve seen you before.”
Fu Wenhai is surprised: “You’ve seen me before?”
Han Siqi asks smilingly: “Where did you see Uncle Fu?”
Fu Xing scratches his head and then shakes it: “I don’t know. Anyway, I’ve seen him.”
“Maybe we often mention Mr. Fu, so Fu Xing gets an impression of him.” Fu Zhengzheng explains smilingly.
Fu Xing can’t remember where he saw Fu Wenhai, and he makes a face at him. Then they all laugh out.
They have polite formulas and small talks during dinner. After it, Han Siqi goes back with Fu Zhengzheng and Fu Xing.
After taking Fu Xing to their parents’ room, Han Siqi and Fu Zhengzheng return to their room.
Fu Zhengzheng can’t help asking: “Siqi, do you know who Li Yin’s cousin is?”
“Who?”
“Lin Jiao.”
“Who is Lin Jiao?”
“Fu Wenhai’s ex-girlfriend, the woman that was misunderstood by us as the arsonist of Happy Community.”
“Her?” Then Han Siqi remembers her.
“Yes.” Fu Zhengzheng nods, “She keeps the fruit shop with Li Yin. It’s she that is looking after Li Yin.”
“Go to the fruit shop less frequently and keep away from this woman.”
Fu Zhengzheng is confused: “Why? I feel she has changed a lot. Not overbearing anymore. Quite kind.”
“There was enmity between you. You can’t say for sure that she doesn’t have a grudge against you.”
Fu Zhengzheng smiles: “You think too much. Moreover, the fire in Happy Community was set by Li Xiaomeng instead of her. She is willful at most, but she is not bad in nature.”
“You’d better be cautious.”
“You’re too nervous.”
“Sit down.” Han Siqi fetches the medical kit, “Let me see your wounds.”
Fu Zhengzheng sits down obediently and rolls up her sleeves. Han Siqi unties the gauze around her wrists. Finding the abrasions have had scabs, she raises her hands complacently.
“You don’t need to apply unguent to me anymore. My skin heals quickly. The little abrasion doesn’t matter at all. Perhaps the scabs will drop tomorrow.”
Han Siqi unties the gauze on her feet and sees the abrasions there have scabbed too. Bruises on her back have faded. His mind is eased.
Fu Zhengzheng grins: “Actually, I didn’t feel painful at all today, so you can be relieved and let me go to work tomorrow.”
“Rest one more day.”
“If I rest one more day, my colleague will be dead tired. Siqi, don’t spoil me, or I won’t do anything later.”
“No problem.”
“I even won’t get up for meals.”
“I’ll feed you.”
“I won’t walk.”
“I lift you.”
Fu Zhengzheng can’t help laughing: “Will you look after me as a baby in swaddling clothes?”
“No. I’ll keep you as a pig in the pen.”
Fu Zhengzheng grabs a pillow and throws it towards Han Siqi: “Bother! You sleep with me on the same bed, so aren’t you a pig too?”
Han Siqi takes the pillow while laughing: “It’s not bad to be a pig, so long as I like it.”
Fu Zhengzheng asks smilingly: “Fu Wenhai remains single now. Does he still love Lin Jiao? Lin Jiao is single too. Will they possibly…”
“That’s their business. Don’t meddle.”
“Without me, their relationship might be maintained until now.”
“Their separation means their relationship has come to an end. It has nothing to do with you. Don’t take the blame for everything.”
“I’m not taking the blame. I think Mr. Fu is good. If we…”
“It’s none of your business. Now you should pay attention to those approaching you either by design or accident. Don’t fall into others’ traps carelessly.”
Fu Zhengzheng agrees with him. She smiles and doesn’t say anything else.
The next day, Han Siqi allows her to go to work, but she isn’t allowed to drive. He drives her to and from work.
Time flies. Soon, it’s Friday night. Han Siqi will go to C City the next day, so Fu Zhengzheng helps him pack up clothes while chattering.
“Go home to check if the daily supplies are almost used up. Ask my dad if his foot has healed completely. Ask him and my mom if they would like to come to C City with you. Ask if there is progress between my brother and Yan Weixiao…”
Han Siqi interrupts her impatiently: “Darling, you’ve talked for many times.”
“I’m afraid that you can’t remember them. You don’t write them down. Every one of them is very important.”
Han Siqi asks with a wry smile: “Do you think your husband’s memory is so bad?”
“What if you forget?” Fu Zhengzheng rolls her eyes at him, hangs a coat and intends to iron it, but Han Siqi grabs and throws it on the sofa.
Fu Zhengzheng shouts: “It hasn’t been ironed.”
“Unnecessary.”
“Why? What will you look like with a wrinkled coat?”
“Darling, let’s do serious business first.”
“Serious business?” Fu Zhengzheng frowns and pinches her fingers, “I remember I have prepared all necessary things for you.”
Han Siqi embraces her from the back, bites her earlobe lightly and whispers: “I will be on a business trip for one week. I have to sate you before I leave.”
Then Fu Zhengzheng understands his meaning. She pats his forehead and snorts: “Are you going to give me a meal and then starve me for one week?”
Han Siqi laughs: “You won’t be starved for one week. But if you want it again, you must make an appointment two hours earlier. Then I’ll return from C City at top speed to serve you.”
“It’s not so exaggerating.”
When Fu Zhengzheng just finished her words, Han Siqi turns her around, kisses her lips and holds out one hand into her clothes to play with abandon.
“Hmmm…”
Perhaps affected by Han Siqi’s mood, Fu Zhengzheng can’t help responding to him.
Whiling kissing her, Han Siqi lifts her towards the bed, presses her on the bed and takes off her clothes quickly.
Fu Zhengzheng’s hands are not free either. She unbuttons his coat, reaches out her hands into his clothes and scratches him to be passionate.
Han Siqi wants to unbutton his trousers, so he props himself on one arm against the bed. But he finds the position is not right, and he falls aside.
“Hey!”
Fu Zhengzheng feels something is wrong and hurries to hold Han Siqi to stabilize his body. As a result, they both fall onto the carpet at the bed tail.
It turns out Han Siqi put Fu Zhengzheng unintentionally at the bed tail just now, and he propped himself outside the bed edge.
“Bang!”
“Ouch!”
Han Siqi drops first, and Fu Zhengzheng falls on him heavily.
“How are you?” Fu Zhengzheng picks herself up quickly and asks Han Siqi, half kneeling on the floor.
Han Siqi asks nervously: “Are you hurt?”
Finding Han Siqi is fine, Fu Zhengzheng sighs with relief and laughs: “With you as a cushion, how can I hurt myself?”
“That’s good.”
Then Han Siqi embraces Fu Zhengzheng and laughs cheekily: “The bed seems to tell us it’s also good to do it on the carpet.”
“What?” Fu Zhengzheng is confused.
“The carpet is thick, so knees won’t hurt when I kneel on it.”
“Why do you need to kneel?”
“Why?” Han Siqi laughs amorously, “Let me show you.”
Fu Zhengzheng understands at once and flushes. However, she doesn’t push him away but throws herself at him.
Han Siqi leaves early the next morning. Fu Zhengzheng gets up early too and comes to the Central Street of Handa City with Tian Xin and Sun Qiubo.
Their restaurant is at the busiest part of the Central Street. But it’s just 7:00 a.m., so there are not many people on the street.
When they come to the restaurant, several workers are laying out flower baskets. Fu Zhengzheng looks up and sees the signboard covered with a red cloth. She can’t help asking with a smile: “What is the name of our restaurant?”
“Unique Flavor.” Sun Qiubo answers.
Fu Zhengzheng praises: “Unique Flavor? The name is good. Who named it?”
Sun Qiubo answers complacently: “I named it. Your father-in-law inscribed it.”
“Fu Xing’s grandpa? It must be great!” Fu Zhengzheng is confident about Han Tengyue’s calligraphy.
“Of course! I’ll enter to get down to business.” Then Sun Qiubo enters the restaurant.
Fu Zhengzheng seldom comes here. While Tian Xin and Sun Qiubo are busy directing workers inside, she doesn’t know what to do and just watches the flower baskets at the door, feeling bored.
On every flower basket, there is a signature. When seeing the names of Yang Tao and He Menghuai on one of them, she can’t help laughing.
The opening ceremony is scheduled at 8:08 a.m. Several rows of fireworks and saluting guns are laid out at the door and will be set off at the scheduled time.
When it’s almost 8:00, Heng Tengyue and Ji Yashu come with Fu Xing and Han Xiao. Seeing them, Fu Zhengzheng goes quickly to welcome them.
“Dad, mom, welcome.”
Ji Yashu smiles: “We are coming to join the fun and cheer for you.”
Fu Xing holds Fu Zhengzheng’s hand and says: “Mummy, Aunt Tian said we could have lunch here and enjoy delicious food.”
Han Tengyue stoops and laughs: “So you and Xiaoxiao only ate a little this morning?”
Fu Xing and Han Xiao make faces at him together.
As the shops open for business consecutively on both sides, more people appear on the Central Street. Everyone stops before the opening restaurant and talks about it.
“Miss Fu, wish your restaurant is booming.”
Fu Zhengzheng looks back and sees Fu Wenhai bringing a flower basket.
“How do you know it?”
Fu Wenhai smiles: “Mr. Han mentioned it when I talked with him, so I come to join the festivity with a flower basket. Am I late?”
“No, no. The perfect time. Thank you.” Fu Zhengzheng smiles.
At this moment, Tian Xin begins to give a speech with a microphone under the signboard. She mainly introduces the special offer for the opening and welcomes everyone’s coming. Then Han Tengyue is invited to cut the ribbon.
Han Xiaoxiao wants to cut the ribbon too, so Ji Yashu goes up with her.
Fu Zhengzheng holds Fu Xing’s hand and watches ribbon-cutting in the audience with Fu Wenhai. Fu Xing isn’t interested in ribbon-cutting, so he throws off her hand and runs to play the firework fuse.
Fu Wenhai sees him and drags him back at once: “No touching. It’s dangerous.”
Fu Zhengzheng holds Fu Xing into her arms immediately.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please scatter. Fireworks and saluting guns will be set off.” A young man reminds others of scattering. Finding there are too many people, he moves the fireworks more closely.
Fu Xing lifts his face and claps his hands: “Great. Fireworks will be set off.”
With several bangs consecutively, fireworks explode in the air. Although they are not so bright as in the evening, they are quite gorgeous.
Looking at Fu Xing’s excitement, Fu Wenhai smiles: “For kids, no matter when fireworks will be set off, it doesn’t matter. What’s important is setting off fireworks.”
Fu Zhengzheng smiles too: “Yes. Kids like the hustle and bustle.”
At this moment, a firework box that’s nearest to Fu Zhengzheng explodes suddenly. Scattered sparks scare the people, who run around to hide themselves. As a result, the scene becomes messy instantly.
Fu Zhengzheng is scared too. She holds Fu Xing tightly in haste. But before they run away, some sparks fly directly towards her…
