Chapter 978: Chapter 978: Save People Quickly!
After lunch, everyone went back to take a nap. Lin Gantang, having slept in in the morning, didn’t feel tired and wanted to sunbathe.
On the deck, Lin Fan was setting up a tripod with his phone on it, preparing to record a video.
Lin Gantang poked her head out and asked, “Lin Fan, what are you doing? Where’s Yin Zhen?”
“She said she wanted to take a nap.” Mentioning Yin Zhen, Lin Fan’s eyes curved into crescents, “Maybe she got tired because she got up too early to watch the sunrise. It’s the birthday of a teammate from before my debut, my agent called me to record a birthday greeting video.”
Lin Gantang nodded and did not go out to disturb him.
She sat down by the cabin door, felt the wind was a bit strong, and shrank back slightly, only her head showing.
Lin Gantang couldn’t help but be curious about Lin Fan’s work in the entertainment industry. Speaking of which, Lin Fan never mentioned these so-called teammates and friends, so was he being forced to perform now? Was their friendship fake?
Lin Fan seriously recorded a few takes, felt they were not quite satisfying, and clicked to start over, preparing to record again.
“Little Fan, where did you put the watch you helped auntie with just now?” Jiang Chenying called out.
“I’ll find it for you now.” Lin Fan immediately stood up, leaving his phone behind, and ran back to get Jiang Chenying’s watch.
Lin Gantang, who disliked the blustering wind, leaned back into a nook that shielded her form. The sunlight here was just right and very comfortable.
After basking for a while, Lin Gantang suddenly realized, could it be that Lin Fan was nervous about recording because she was there?
Lin Fan was quite shy, so even if it was because of her that he didn’t record well, he would have been too embarrassed to mention it.
Out of consideration, Lin Gantang decided to leave, giving Lin Fan space.
“Sister Tang, are you going back?” Lin Fan, having found the watch, ran out, his round deer-like eyes smiling at her.
“Yes, I don’t want to disturb you,” Lin Gantang admitted honestly.
“You were sitting there, I wouldn’t have noticed you if I didn’t look closely,” Lin Fan said, scratching his face sheepishly, “The bad recording was because I didn’t know what to say to my teammate. Actually, we’re not that close. It’s hard to be too enthusiastic, and too formal wouldn’t be accepted by Brother Fan.”
Lin Gantang realized.
It was indeed fake friendship.
However, she still planned to leave, or else Wen Yanqing might come looking for her, worried.
Before leaving, Lin Gantang glanced at the seascape. Far away, Director Liu’s yacht, which had been traveling alongside for half a day, slowly overtook them, on its way back.
In just that moment, her heart raced.
“There’s someone!”
“What?” Lin Fan, who was just about to record, looked up.
“There’s someone in the sea!”
Lin Fan stood up and turned around; indeed, he saw someone floundering in the water.
Someone had fallen overboard!
And the nearest Benetti Yacht was moving away, completely unaware of the situation behind it!
“Quick, save them! Someone has fallen into the sea!” Lin Fan shouted.
The lifeguards on the yacht, hearing the cries for help, immediately rushed over, and upon spotting the situation, instructed the captain to steer closer.
People inside the yacht cabin, hearing the commotion, all ran out.
Yin Zhen, watching the activity in the water, turned to Lin Gantang and said, “Tangtang, you were right.”
Lin Gantang: “What?”
“You must wear a life jacket when going out to sea,” Yin Zhen said gravely, finally earnestly agreeing with Lin Gantang’s standpoint.
Fortunately, their boat was not too far away, but the person in the water was struggling fiercely, obviously not skilled at swimming.
As they drew near, without hesitation, a lifeguard jumped into the water, quickly swam to the person, and grabbed them as they started sinking below the surface.
The lifeguard passed the life ring strapped to their back to the person in the water, who clung to it as if it was a lifeline.
