Chapter 50 Obviously You Care That Thing
Qin Shu had made up her mind to ignore Tang Anru, so she simply put Tang Anru’s phone number into the blacklist. And she did the same to Qi Mingran, too.
Neither of them was a good person.
She remembered those women with heavy makeup she met before the car accident. Obviously, they were targeting her, and it was absolutely impossible for them to recognize the wrong person.
Now, without needing to think about it, Qin Shu knew what other people would think of her. They might even think that the car accident was a retribution to her.
To some extent, Qin Shu had found out the truth.
“What are you thinking?” Ling Mohan asked when he saw Qin Shu’s face was full of contemplation. The pair of her flexible and beautiful eyes were rolling back and forth. He wondered what she was thinking randomly about again.
Qin Shu answered in a sinister tone, “I’m thinking about who was slandering me as a mistress behind my back.”
“Have you thought of anyone?” Ling Mohan asked with interest. He hadn’t told this little girl about the results of the investigation.
Qin Shu said lazily, “I don’t know. Anyway, there are a lot of people who don’t like me. Anyone is possible.”
Ling Mohan’s eyes turned slightly cold. He frowned and asked, “A lot of people?”
“Yes.” Qin Shu didn’t take it much seriously. She glanced over at Ling Mohan and suddenly smiled with her red lips curled. “Are you worried about me?”
Her exquisite face was a little pale and wasn’t as delicate and charming as usual, but it showed a little extra pureness and beauty.
Ling Mohan stared at her smile. His eyes deepened and he coldly snorted, “Looks like it’s very necessary to strengthen your training!”
In Ling Mohan’s opinion, the most reliable person was always oneself!
This was why he insisted on forcing Qin Shu to accept the training.
He had thought that the Rose Organization was the only party that would target Qin Shu, but he didn’t expect that there were a bunch of people who disliked her in secret. Besides, the indirect cause of the car accident this time was caused by Yang Bin!
Looked like he must speed up the training for Qin Shu with a cruel heart, in case she couldn’t even deal with a few women.
Qin Shu noticed his cold expression and suddenly felt a chill run down her spine. “I’m a patient now, you won’t ask me to go running, right?”
That would be too cruel and inhumane!
“Not now,” Ling Mohan pondered and said with a cold expression. “After you recover, I will make a new training plan for you to make sure you’ll have sufficient self-protection ability.”
For some reason, Qin Shu always felt that she was despised by this bastard.
Fine. In the eyes of a special forces soldier, she was a weak woman who didn’t even have the strength to catch a chicken.
Qin Shu was unhappy in her heart. She secretly swore that she would train herself desperately after her injury was healed, and she absolutely couldn’t be underestimated by this bastard!
Moreover, before the car accident, she was bullied by those women by pulling off her hair and stripping off her clothes. If she had a strong body, she wouldn’t be put in a difficult situation like that at that time.
The more Qin Shu thought about it, the more reasonable she felt it was. Sometimes, violence was the best way to solve the problem.
She rolled her eyes and looked at Ling Mohan with a smile. “Colonel, instead of training me how to escape every day, why don’t you teach me a few moves such as military sport boxing, taekwondo, and something like that?”
After she learned those, if anyone dared to attack her again, she would kick them down one by one. Besides, she would also be able to fight against big hooligans at a crucial moment!
Qin Shu thought like this happily, looking at Ling Mohan with an expectant face.
Unexpectedly, Ling Mohan said, “Those are not suitable for you.”
Qin Shu pulled her mouth and said, “Then what is suitable for me? Don’t say Taijiquan.”
“Arresting skills,” Ling Mohan said. He suddenly stood up. His tall figure made Qin Shu feel very oppressive. “Oh right, the one who instigated those women to insult you was a man called Yang Bin. Think about how you want to dispose of him and then tell me.”
After saying that, Ling Mohan strode out and returned to the army to handle military affairs.
Qin Shu stared at his figure that disappeared at the door. This bastard had already known who the instigator was, but he still made her think it over and over again to consume her mental effort. Didn’t he know that the patient needed to have more rest?
“Heh, Yang Bin!” She sneered. It turned out to be this idiot.
What did Ling Mohan say? Did he ask her to think about how she wanted to dispose of Yang Bin and then told him?
Very good!
Since Ling Mohan intended to stand up for her, she wouldn’t refuse. She must teach Yang Bin a lesson so that the idiot wouldn’t dare to provoke her in the future!
Waiting until night, Qin Shu deliberately asked Ling Mohan, “About that Yang Bin who instigated people to abuse me, did you call the police?”
“He’s in detention.” Ling Mohan gave her a concise and comprehensive answer. He sat by the sickbed naturally, with his black eyes staring straight at Qin Shu.
“Humph, then keep him locked up for a few more days.” Qin Shu smiled sinisterly. Then she sensed the man’s fervent gaze. “But, what are you looking at me for?”
Ling Mohan stretched out his rough fingers to pinch Qin Shu’s chin. He raised his eyebrows and said, “You look much better.”
Qin Shu felt that something was wrong with this sentence. It was like a ferocious beast was weighing whether its prey could be swallowed or not.
“We’re in a hospital here. Behave yourself.” Qin Shu reminded him.
Ling Mohan felt the snow-white skin beneath his fingers and slowly rubbed against it, reluctant to let go.
Qin Shu said angrily, “Take away your dog paw!”
“I dare you say that again!” Ling Mohan’s expression turned cold and he angrily stared at the bold little woman.
She was the only person who dared to describe his hand as a dog paw, but she didn’t know that the dog paw could easily break other people’s necks.
Qin Shu was unconvinced and was about to repeat the sentence again.
As a result, however, her lips were clamped by Ling Mohan with his fingers. She was forced to pout with her two thin lips and could only make muffled sounds of struggling.
The phone on the side suddenly rang.
Ling Mohan glanced at the screen. “Su Xiaoya?”
Qin Shu stared at him and kept struggling with her head.
“Do you still dare to call my hand as a dog paw?” Ling Mohan asked coldly.
Qin Shu nodded, and then shook her head repeatedly. She was so oppressed and wronged that she let loose a stream of abuse against Ling Mohan in her heart.
Now Ling Mohan let go of Qin Shu and put the phone next to her ears. Soon, Su Xiaoya’s casual voice came from the other end. “Darling, you finally answered my call!”
Darling?
The phone volume was quite loud, and Ling Mohan was not very happy to hear this word.
Even though the other party was a woman, he was not willing to hear her call Qin Shu “darling” so affectionately!
“I called you several times this afternoon, but you didn’t answer any of them. I thought something had happened to you.” Su Xiaoya breathed a sigh of relief.
She still didn’t know that Qin Shu had a car accident.
Qin Shu was a little guilty, because she had been asleep from noon to evening and didn’t hear the ringtone at all.
But then Qin Shu said calmly, “I had a car accident and I’m in the hospital now.”
Su Xiaoya was suddenly silent on the other end of the phone. Then she asked nervously in the next second, “Darling, don’t scare me. Are you joking? Wait, which hospital? I’ll be right there!”
Qin Shu worried Su Xiaoya might act recklessly, so she said, “I’m fine. Don’t come over this late at night.”
“No, I can’t let you stay alone in the hospital. Who will take care of you?” Su Xiaoya said and she took out the key and prepared to go out.
“He’s with me in the ward,” Qin Shu said vaguely.
Ling Mohan’s face darkened. He was very dissatisfied that Qin Shu mentioned him as a “he” in front of her good friend. This meant that Qin Shu had never thought of formally introducing him to someone close to her, in other words, he was dispensable.
Su Xiaoya was worthy of being Qin Shu’s true bosom friend. She understood who this “he” was as soon as she heard it, so she purposely prolonged her tone.
“Alright, alright, alright. I’ll go visit you tomorrow. I won’t be a third wheel tonight.” Su Xiaoya smiled meaningfully.
Qin Shu was very speechless. “What nonsense are you talking about?”
Su Xiaoya returned to the living room and sat down cross-legged again. “How am I talking about nonsense? Darling, I’ve thought it through. People have to look forward. Perhaps the next person you meet is the Mr. Right, so don’t dwell on those things in the past. Although he didn’t come back to take responsibility for you at that time, perhaps it’s because of something you don’t know, right? Anyway, you have already registered for marriage with him, you might as well talk to him about that thing…”
Qin Shu’s expression changed. She subconsciously raised her head to look at Ling Mohan, only to find that the latter was staring at her meaningfully.
“Didn’t you say you wanted to move out? How’s it going with renting a house?” Qin Shu anxiously interrupted Su Xiaoya.
As the topic suddenly changed, Su Xiaoya was stunned. “I haven’t started looking for houses.”
“You don’t need to move out in a hurry. It’s best to find someone to jointly rent a house with you.” Qin Shu deliberately yawned loudly. “I’m so sleepy. I’m going to sleep now.”
“Okay, darling, have a good rest.”
After Qin Shu hung up the phone, the ward suddenly became very quiet.
Qin Shu was a little uncomfortable and whispered, “I want to sleep now. Just turn off the light.”
“Obviously you care that thing.” Ling Mohan stared at her with a complicated look in his eyes. “Why aren’t you willing to say it out?”
Qin Shu’s body stiffened slightly. She lowered her eyelids and chuckled. “Yes, I care that why the one who slept with me three years ago was you.”
“Liar!” Ling Mohan’s eyes turned slightly cold. He forced her to look at him.
“What did I lie about?” Qin Shu blinked and smiled faintly as if nothing had happened.
Ling Mohan stared fixedly at her. He seemed to be confirming something. After a long while, he said in a deep voice, “Do you really have nothing to ask me about?”
Qin Shu sneered. “Okay, let me ask you. Why didn’t you come back three months later? Why haven’t you come to me in the past three years? Perhaps I’ll answer these for you. It’s because you don’t care at all! Since that’s the case, why do you have to act in front of me?”
“Shut up!” Ling Mohan scolded coldly. He knotted his eyebrows tightly.
On the contrary, Qin Shu smiled and hit the nail on the head, “I was right, so are you angry because of embarrassment?”
Ling Mohan still stared at Qin Shu fixedly with his face tensed up.
Actually, Qin Shu was right.
Three years ago, Ling Mohan didn’t care about love between men and women. All of his mind was on the Special Forces.
He accidentally had a one-night stand with Qin Shu. After that, out of the responsibility of a man to a woman, Ling Mohan decided to complete the top secret mission and return in three months, then marry Qin Shu.
Anyway, marriage was dispensable to him. Moreover, Grandpa liked Qin Shu very much, so he would just take it as coaxing him to be happy.
No one would have thought that the mission was a life and death struggle!
In the process of Ling Mohan executing the top secret mission, he gradually discovered that there was a terrifying reactionary force hidden outside the country—the Rose Organization!
Three months later, Ling Mohan was still searching for a large batch of munitions of the reactionary organization in the primeval forest outside the country.
Therefore, he couldn’t make it to come back and marry Qin Shu.
It wasn’t until two years later that Ling Mohan destroyed the Rose Organization’s nest with one action and returned to the motherland.
After returning to the motherland, Ling Mohan needed to undergo harsh interrogation and observation by the military so as to make sure that he wasn’t turned by the reactionary organization.
When Ling Mohan was truly free, he learned that Qin Shu had married to Ji Chen.
Therefore, he didn’t go to Qin Shu, and all of his thoughts about her faded away. Only occasionally, he would recall in his dreams that night they spent together.
Ling Mohan attributed that to a normal phenomenon for men.
Then he was transferred back to City Lin this time and met Qin Shu again. The ferocious beast hidden in his heart seemed to have finally been released.
Ling Mohan just wanted to have this woman!
