86. The Adorable Magic Pet Fish
The next morning, Jiang Sheng woke up early in the morning. Then he found that he had fallen asleep in Pei Siyan’s arms and was lying on them.
Jiang Sheng rubbed his sleepy eyes as he sat up and stretched his body. He then looked around blankly.
However he was startled because there was a magic fish floating in midair right in front of him. It was even shaking its tail at him happily.
Jiang Sheng thought that was an illusion, so he rubbed his eyes again right away. But when he opened his eye once more, the magic fish was still there. It was red with a pair of devil’s horns on its head.
“This… this… isn’t this the magic fish in the pond? Damn! Is it mutated or something? Why does it have horns? And its color is different!”
Jiang Sheng poked the magic fish’s head with his finger as if he was poking a bomb; he then took his finger back immediately with fear written all over his face.
The magic fish slightly tilted his head and looked at Jiang Sheng as if it had no idea what Jiang Sheng was doing. Since it looked somehow dumb and cute, Jiang Sheng gradually started to find it less terrifying.
He even mumbled to himself, “It somehow looks cute.”
Jiang Sheng smiled and reached out his finger again, but before he even touched its head, the magic fish opened its mouth with sharp teeth and bit him.
Jiang Sheng got scared and tried to throw it off while screaming like crazy, but the magic fish just wouldn’t let his finger go and it was even sucking his blood.
“Holy sh*t! What the f**k is this? Why can’t I get it off! Ouch! Ouch! That hurts! You dumb fish!”
Jiang Sheng started to curse, but the pain only lasted for a second and he felt nothing at all anymore.
As for Pei Siyan who was sleeping in bed, he was frowning for the pain had woke him up.
Because he thought it was Jiang Sheng who somehow hurt his own finger and that wound just transferred to him.
But when he got up, he found it was Jiang Sheng being bitten by the magic fish, so he took the fish off from Jiang Sheng’s finger and tossed it away.
“Are you okay, my love?”
He blew at the wound for Jiang Sheng as if Jiang Sheng was his most loved treasure. But three seconds later, the wound on Jiang Sheng was gone and his finger started to bleed instead.
Pei Siyan was afraid to let Jiang Sheng see that, so he hid his finger behind him right away and held Jiang Sheng in his arm with one hand. He then frowned and asked, “What’s that? Where does that magic fish come from? Did you hide that one yourself?”
“I would be crazy to hide it myself! Why would I do that? To keep some food in stock for the apocalypse?” Jiang Sheng replied grumpily.
The magic fish that had been tossed away by Pei Siyan was floating in midair again. The moment it heard the word “food in stock”, it hid behind the curtains in a panic right away with only its eyes showing, peeking at Jiang Sheng. It was rather cute indeed.
Jiang Sheng was shocked when he saw that. He pointed at the magic fish nervously and told Pei Siyan, “It it it, it can understand what I was saying!”
Pei Siyan also saw the abnormality of the magic fish, and he frowned right away.
‘Red with horns. Isn’t that the form of the magic fish that is recorded in ancient books? But why does it look like this now? They shouldn’t be able to evolve anymore! How could this be?’
Pei Siyan was stunned, ‘Is it because of Jiang Sheng’s blood?’
Right after that, Pei Siyan’s look became grave because that could bring death to Jiang Sheng if anyone else found out the power of his blood. And the same story would repeat itself again, just like what had happened to Lan Yuan before.
People would not withstand the existence of mutants among them, especially to the mutant that would stand on their opposite side.
“Come over here.” Jiang Sheng suddenly started to smile and wave at the magic fish for he found it a bit interesting.
And the magic fish could really understand his words. It swam to Jiang Sheng right away and it seemed like those clever eyes were smiling at him, its cuteness had overloaded.
“Wow! It’s super obedient! What is it? It’s so cute!”
Jiang Sheng loved it right away; he pinched the magic fish by its tail and swung it back and forth.
“In ancient times, we call them magic pets. They are obedient once they regard you as their master.”
Pei Siyan held Jiang Sheng from his back with his head on his shoulder, and explained that to him while smiling.
His mood became better when he saw that Jiang Sheng was happy.
“Magic pet? Like, actual pets?”
Jiang Sheng asked with curiosity and then swung the magic fish a couple more times.
The magic fish was struggling to swim again, but the power of gravity wouldn’t let it. It started to see stars in its eyes for it was being swung by Jiang Sheng constantly.
‘Oh my god, I’m so dizzy right now! I’m about to throw up! I really am! Somebody, please help!’
The magic fish wanted to cry but it couldn’t.
