Chapter 69: Enemies
“Hold tightly!”
Bai Hao, who was driving in the front, suddenly hit the gas. His voice became cold as he turned the steering wheel for a few rounds swiftly and rushed to the next intersection.
“Oh wow! What are you doing? This is not the way to the Jiang Family!”
The turn was too sudden that Jiang Sheng fell back into Pei Siyan’s arms that he had just got out of.
“You think that I want this? We are being dogged!”
Bai Hao answered him grumpily for he hadn’t realized there was a car following behind them until just now.
“Some people are stalking us? What for?”
Jiang Sheng didn’t know about how complicated this world could be, so he was confused.
Pei Siyan’s expression had turned cold already; he held Jiang Sheng on his laps, told him to sit tight and then asked Bai Hao, “How many?”
“I saw one car for now, but judging from their movement, there could be more.”
Bai Hao replied urgently and drove right onto the pavement, taking the shortcut to the small alley nearby. H e wanted to get to the other side of the road so as to get rid of the enemies.
But before he even drove into the alley, there had already been a car driving out of the alley and
heading directly to them, and their way was consequently blocked.
Bai Hao cursed in a really low voice; he reversed the car immediately, turned left to avoid the head-on crash with that car, and drove back to the road. The noises of brakes and tires grinding on the ground broke the silence of the street, scaring the pedestrians.
“Can you even drive? Don’t you know it’s sidewalk here?”
“Are you guys out of your mind? Or are you trying to get yourselves killed in a car accident?”
…
There were pedestrians cursing on the road. They were clearly a step away from dragging them out of their car and beat them up.
But Bai Hao ignored them; he drove in a zigzag way and overtook other cars on the road.
As for those bad-tempered drivers who had been overtaken, they all rolled down the window and cursed, “F**k you for cutting in in broad daylight!”
“Don’t get us involved if you wanna get yourselves killed, you prick! There could be a car accident!”
Bai Hao knew that it was dangerous to drive like this, but the car behind him just wouldn’t give up, so how could he drive normally?
Now two enemies’ cars had joined each other, and it would be way more difficult to escape in that way.
“Goddamn it! Why won’t they just give up?”
Bai Hao was extremely annoyed now. He would drive as fast as he could to get rid of them if there weren’t cars on the road.
“Head back first. We are not going to the Jiang Family now.”
Pei Siyan said with a serious look.
“Why? Why aren’t we going to the Jiang Family? I wanna go!”
Jiang Sheng was unhappy with that, and he demanded to go home.
After all, he was mistaken as he had committed suicide by jumping off the building. He needed to pay a visit and see his family.
“We may bring danger to the Jiang Family if we head there now.”
Pei Siyan was not sure about the enemies’ purpose, so he could only do that just in case.
Jiang Sheng was outrageous when he heard that, ‘Sh*t! Do you have to pick a ‘great timing’ like this? I’m finally going home now and this happened. Ugh! I’m so freaking mad now!’
Jiang Sheng was so angry that he was about to lose his mind; he turned around and stared at the cars behind him.
“Now what? It’s daytime now and we can’t use our Majin power at will.” Bai Hao asked Pei Siyan anxiously as he quickly turned around the steering wheel.
The reason why they couldn’t use their power in the daytime was because this place was within human’s jurisdiction, so the police would come over if they made a uproar here.
“Drive to the suburban area. I’ll handle it.”
“Roger that.”
Bai Hao followed Pei Siyan’s guidance and drove to the suburban area.
Jiang Sheng was upset with that, “Aren’t you guys Majins? Can’t you just control them with your magic power or something?”
‘F**k it! Why are we even running? Just hit them with the car!’
“There’s a supreme administrator overwatching this city and he is a man we shouldn’t mess with, so we are trying to avoid any possible conflicts. It won’t be too late for us to take them down somewhere else later.”
Pei Siyan smiled at Jiang Sheng and stroked his hair. He was very calm about this.
“Alright then!”
Jiang Sheng gave it up; he couldn’t return home now anyway.
