Chapter 38: Painful Argument
“I’m begging you now. Stop torturing me! Can’t you just let me move on?”
Lying down in bed, Bai Hao covered his tearful eyes with his arm and begged. Tears started to drip down from his eyes.
‘Let you move on? Then who can let me move on?’
Hei Ming scorned himself with bitterness and pain.
He let out a deep breath and blew smoke out of the window. His eyes were lost in all those smoke rings he blew out, empty and out of focus.
“Give me some time, and I’ll give you the answer.” Hei Ming said in a rather quiet and gentle voice. His voice was light as a feather yet the pain inside it was heavier than anything.
Bai Hao didn’t respond after hearing that, but he stopped crying and started to sob instead.
“Then why are you still here? Get out!” Bai Hao shouted with his arms wiping tears away.
“I will. Don’t worry about that.”
Hei Ming finished the sentence and stood up. He was really leaving now.
But he somehow stopped halfway and said to Bai Hao without even looking at him, “If you really want a child, choose a human! Neither Majin, vampire nor werewolf can be a match for you.”
Bai Hao had a relief when Hei Ming said he was leaving, but he had never expected Hei Ming would abruptly stop and said that.
Bai Hao burst into tears all of a sudden because what Hei Ming had just said was basically asking him to find another man to get pregnant!
“Bastard! You f**king heartless bastard! Scum!”
Bai Hao blubbered and shouted. He grabbed all the pillows on the bed and threw them at Hei Ming.
He had been waiting for Hei Ming for a hundred years, and that was the only thing Hei Ming gave in response.
“Fine, I’ll do as you wish. I’ll give birth to a child for someone else. Are you happy with that now? F**k off! I don’t wanna see you for the rest of my life! Out!”
In the end, he even threw his blanket at Hei Ming. His eyes were bloodshot; even though he was angry, those eyes were still filled with pain and desperation.
Hei Ming had misunderstood him all the time. He thought Bai Hao was always talking about the child because he liked kids. That was why he asked Bai Hao to find someone else because they could never have their own baby ever.
But the fact was that the child was Hei Ming’s son; that’s why he cared about him so much. It was not only because he liked children and wanted his own child.
Bai Hao had always been forcing Bai Hao before. They set apart because of the kid, and they had never come clean with their real feelings about each other. That was why Hei Ming thought Bai Hao had always hated him.
As for Bai Hao, he also misunderstood Hei Ming. He thought Hei Ming came here only because he thought of Bai Hao as a tool to let off his sexual desire, not because he missed him and loved him.
Both of them had hidden their love deep down inside, and neither of them had the chance or courage to take a step further, which was why they came to what they were today.
“Do you really think that I want you to get pregnant with another guy? You’ve always talked about the child, and that’s something I could never give you ever again! What should I do?”
Hei Ming’s lips shivered as he shouted back. In his bloodshot eyes, there was also pain and sorrow.
He never told Bai Hao the fact that their DNA and constitution could never match, so he couldn’t have a child with Bai Hao again.
“What do you mean you can’t give me a child?” Bai Hao noticed what he had just said. Except the sorrow, he also had a fit, “Wasn’t I pregnant before? If you don’t want the child, you can simply say it out. Why did you have to do that? If you said you didn’t want the child, I would take him with me and leave! Why did you have to kill him?”
His tears dropped again, and each breath he took just made the sorrow even deeper. His eyes fixed on Hei Ming were filled with hatred.
Hei Ming opened his mouth as if he tried to explain something, but he remained silent at last. Because Bai Haotian couldn’t live for too long, if he told Bai Hao about him now, Bai Hao would fell in a greater sorrow by the day Bai Haotian actually died.
